Sure, but many more per capita were committed in the past than now.
And nobody knows it because those who might tell them are afraid to
be taken for a molestor themselves!
Actually, abduction murders or tortures of children are quite rare,
like getting struck by lightining, and what is called "molestation"
is usually by relatives or other children not too far from their own
age, and most of what is called that is by pubescents and other kids
who are near-pubescents experimenting consensually with older kids
or teens, and then they are caught at it and the younger kid is abused
shamed and harangued by adult authortiarians into blaming the older
partner for their own desired sexual contact! The current level of
sexual demonology in US culture is bordering on an insanity, and these
same things used to be called "kids fooling around", or "dating" not
"molesation". Did you know that fully 35% of people found on sexual
offender regisration lists are teens who were playing sexually but
consensually with kids only a few years younger than they were!!! And
50% are relatives of their supposed victim whom the child refused to
blame for anything even when given the chance!

Most supposed "molestors" are babysitters who are trusted and are
relatives or family friends near the age of their charges!! And what
is called "molestation" is normal sexual experimentation and home
sexual education!

Witchhunts!! The secret motives behind the Salem witchhunt was the
desire to steal another family's property! I wonder what is actually
behind one this big this time!?? I'll bet it has something to do
with control of slaves and misdirecting people's attention so they
don't get interested in what the money-boys are doing!!

This culture needs a good f.ck. It needs ten billion alien warriors
to come down and make everyone take off their clothes and f.ck for a
while, then they might get over it given a few months of that.

This is a given IF both parties agree to it. However, if it is bothersome,
intrusive, forced upon, coerced upon from one party to the other for any
reason, then it absolutely is "molestation." I believe that is why sexual
experimentation is called sexual experimentation and molestation is called
molestation. Lots, if not most people sexually experiment with each other
but are, as you say, so brainwashed that they'd never admit it to anyone
else but their partner(s), but it continues, if even secretly. Molestation
is something that is absolutely unwanted.

I totally agree!
I even say the rule should be that the younger person must approach
you, and they end it the moment THEY want, if you don't first.

Except that now, in the smelly last half of the 20th, it became
a witchhunt again, and with the Xtian lunacy thrashing like the
dying animal it is, the law migrated from leaving kids to play
to punishing their partners, even if they had to threaten the kids
to get testimony.

Absolutely! It is assault!
