I am in my 2nd pregnancy as well and it was around 6-8 weeks when my jeans
started feeling snug. I thought it was really early as well because I was
around 10-12 weeks with my 1st pregnancy. I am tall and slender and with
both pregnancies I have been all belly though this time there are a little
more arms and legs involved ; ) Good thing though is pregnancy doesn't last
forever.

Mine started feeling tight almost immediately after I found out I was
pregnant, both times (both times at 3w6d). I suspect it's the same thing
that makes some women's pants feel tight when AF is about to arrive -- some
water weight, hormones, that kind of thing.
At 8w1d, a lot of my shorts are just not comfortable anymore. I bought some
very comfy knit ones from Motherhood Maternity, and they're great -- elastic
waist and room enough in the stomach to get me through the summer, but not
too loose for this early stage. :)

Two words - fluid retention. I have it now, even at 38 weeks. My DH wanted
to take me to see Shrek 2 tomorrow night, but I looked in the mirror & was
bawling that I couldn't go, because with my puffy face and my new (horrible)
haircut, I looked exactly like Shrek's ogress girlfriend.
But this morning it's ok again. I know most people will say you're bigger
with a second pg, but I'm sure I didn't show until later with this one. I'm
picking you just have fluid.

Same here. My regular clothing didn't even start to get tight until about 19
weeks. This is my second pregnancy. I've only gained 6 pounds total and am
just barely showing at 23 weeks.

I think at this point it is just bloating which is normal. Your bloating
will ease up just in time for you to really show....or at least that is what
happened to me.

I hope so! With my first pregnancy I didn't have to start wearing maternity
clothes until I was 6 months along. I don't want to have to tell work for at
least another 3 months as I only came off my last mat leave 1.5 months ago.
