April,
I'm so glad to hear that all things considered, you, DH, and baby Joanna are
doing good. I really am hoping nothing but the best for all 3 of you, and
the best is clearly your family to be whole, complete and all together. I
see this whole situation as totally crazy. It's stupid. You are NOT a bad
mother! Don't think that, and don't let anyone tell you that you are.
As far as Joanna not knowing you, don't worry. I read somewhere that a
mother's voice is something that a child always knows. I believe this was
at a birthmother's meeting I had gone to, and the subject of the evening was
concerns about our own children not knowing who we are, even though we are
biologically mother and child. I remember something about even years later,
in the back of minds, our mother's voice is something that we don't ever
forget. I have no idea where this info came from, nor do I know if it's
true, and I very well could have been dreaming up something insane, but I
remember a discussion about it. Your baby girl knows you. She will
continue to know you and will always know you. Same goes for her daddy.
You have a special bond with her, even still, that no one else can have with
her from long before she was born.
I am definitely hoping and praying for you and your family. I see that you
are doing a really good job just being yourself and proving to those who
were doubting and saying you were a bad mother that you really are a good
person and mom! Good luck, and hoping for the best.

It is so great to hear from you. I came in just to write a message
asking about you. You are amazing and wonderful and I am so impressed
by you. Joanna knows her mom. Like xkatx said, your voice is just
about as much a part of her as your heart beat. I did read reserach
once about how a mothers heart beat was more reassuring to babies than
any other sound,...not just any mother's or anyone's, but her
mom's,...Yours April. Soon she will be with you and you will be able
to keep sharing those things with her in a constant basis.
Big Hugs!

I cant wait until she is back with us for good, I have a big celebration
party planned for her and we will have all family and friends there. Its
been a hard week because on top of Joanna, my husband found out this week
that his mum has been diagonosed with having early stages of dementia and
then top top that off a few days later the family dog (mum in laws) which
has been in the family for many years was PTS on Firday. So a lot to deal
with for sure. I feel sorry for Stewarts step-dad though being told that his
wife has dementia, then dog dying and also being told that other dog has a
heart problem, all within one week. Ah well im going on one now.....
Signing off thanks Kath for the warm words.

Hope it goes well on Wednasday.
Good news that contact is increasing. Can you see her at the weekend at all?

Hi Debbie
Still unable to visit her at weekends due to SS not having the resorces
which is annoying, we do phone foster carer up at the weekend though to make
sure Joanna is doing well. I dont think its going to be long before we get a
LOT more contact with her and then hopefully contact can also move to the
home which will be a nicer more natural environment.
