Hi. Welcome to the group. I'm 'Kate, mother of three, ages 16, 18, and
27. I spend most of my time counseling families, pre-teens, and teens at
an alternative school, attending professional organization meetings,
driving to and from doctor's appointments with my youngest, getting my
middle child settled back into college for the semester, and helping
with my oldest's wedding plans. Of course, all that changes from day to
day. Single parenting, I've found, has a lot to do with staying
organized and on track no matter how tired you are.

Does your son's father stay involved in his life?

Sheesh, everyone here seems to be from *way* up north. ;)

Welcome. I'm Mike, and I have two boys, ages 9 and 6, and my oldest is
autistic. I live in Florida. I post here whenever I have a few moments,
but as you are undoubtedly aware, time is a precious and scarce commodity.

I'm just sw of Jacksonville, in a town called Middleburg. It's still within
the Jacksonville metro, though.
