Hi everyone. Thought I'd drop in with our latest, & to see how you all
are doing....

I got back from Wales on Saturday, with Pete. While I was there, Paul
and I both got good and sick, with mine turning into bronchitis. That
meant we didn't finish all the packing & organising, and travelling,
that we had hoped to do. So, [sob], instead of the three of us flying
home to Vancouver together, Pete and I had to leave Paul behind so he
could finish up what needed doing. So right now, Pete and I are here,
and Paul won't get here for another 12 days. But who's counting?

Meanwhile, I had organised us a place to live, I thought, so that we
could get settled once we got here, but then the approval didn't come
through in time for me to sign before I left the country, so the whole
thing fell through. So yesterday Pete & T & I set off with the
intention of finding a place to live. By mid afternoon we'd found a
decent 3 bedroom apartment with an outdoor pool, newly renovated. So
we paid the deposit, got the place and move in tomorrow. Now T is
trying to organise a batch of teens to help with the big stuff, &
today Pete & I are off to buy him a bed. So tonight's my last night on
T's couch and tomorrow it'll be Pete and me with nothing but beds in
an empty house. Fortunately, we can handle it!

Paul arrives a week Saturday. By then I hope to have emptied the
storage locker and moved my stuff in and organised it. At that point
we just have to get the guys immigrated and sell Paul's house so we
can buy one here. Let's hope it's sooner rather than later.

Today I'll call the school district & set up a meeting to get Pete
registered. Then our ducks will begin limping along in a little
row...we hope....[g]
