It's nice to see that you are alright, Ross.
What do you do for a living?
How much education did you recieve?
Could you describe some of this out of control behavior and refer us to
those places it's happening and provide us with their unspanked status?
Thanks, Kane

As I told Doan a few weeks ago, it is going to be interesting to see
how the Europeans back out of no-spank. Traditionally Britain and
other counties across the pond have a higher trust in government than
do Americans. Thus, a simple change in official policy may suffice to
exile no-spank.
America is more unwieldy. The nation is divided on everything.
Consensus is difficult to reach. Trust in government is not a reality.
The empire is crumbling.
Candidates for office, rather than political parties, draw support.
The current Republican president is left with only his political base
of support. Democrats in Congress are even less popular with the
American public. Scandals abound.
Given the realities of American life, the paddle may reenter the
schoolhouse through the backdoor. Over the past few years an
interesting phenomenon has developed. There is some evidence that
older and retired teachers have been undermining official no-spank
policy in public schools for years. Most seem to have been parents
with enough seniority to making firing them all but impossible and
enough credibility with other parents to serve as parenting mentors.
The teachers who have come forward seem to represent the tip of a
grassroots iceberg of discontent. The ones who have spoken out seem to
have had enough smarts to survive in the classroom by realizing that
no-spank is a non-answer to chronic behavioral problems.
Even though their hands were tied, they got parents to do what needed
doing. One name for this strategy is paddle by proxy. Parents and
teachers start reading from the same script and the kid straightens up
and flies right.

I have no idea if it did you any harm, but it certainly didn't motivate
you to learn correct grammar.
