<sigh>

I wish I could reach out to him and help him.

I wish he would go see a doctor.

I'm afraid he's getting worse.

I wish I could let him know I have the URL to his blog and am reading
to see how he's doing.

This isn't a step-parenting issue, per se, just a parenting issue.  How
do you get through all the worry?

Awww Kitten, I don't think you ever do.  It dimishes in a way but never
really goes away!

My *baby* just turned 24 and I still worry about him as I do his 3 sibs.

Well, Chewy called OD last night and asked her how OS was doing.  She
said fine, why?  He *told* her about my looking at his MySpace account
and being concerned.  He *didn't* tell her not to let him know I'd
popped in to look at it.  It's the first time I've looked at it since
he left a month ago.

Well, 5 minutes later, when I went to pull it up to show Chewy why I'd
been concerned, OS was online and had changed the acct to "private," so
only the people he's authorized as friends can see it.  Which means I
can't periodically look there to see if he's getting over the
depression and other issues.

What gets me is OD saying, "Oh, he just does it for the attention."
You NEVER assume that with anyone who has a history of suicidal
ideation and mentions having those thoughts.  I don't care how much you
think they're just looking for attention, you *can't* throw out concern
about that.

<sigh>

Not that I have any experience with this or anything, right?

Bah!
