Kitten, how was your Christmas?  Are you doing all right?  This is a hard time
of year to be going through a new separation.

I hope it was peaceful.

Thanks, Vicki.

It's been peaceful, calm, hmmm... hard to describe, really.

I'm still feeling antsy, uneasy... but I'm keeping myself too busy to
think about all that.  I've got some friends I'm spending a ton of
time with, a couple of whom have gone through this themselves, so I
can talk to them when I've been over-thinking.

Just got off the phone with Chewy.  I'm adding YD to my insurance
because she and I decided it'd be better to have her there instead of
on his.  He didn't sound happy about it.  Reminded me why I'm avoiding
contact with him.

Ran into an old friend at the grocery store last night.  She told YD
and me that she'd seen Chewy a few days before.  Apparently, he's
going around telling folks that we kicked him out because we got tired
of dealing with his behavior, and he can't believe that his own
daughter stayed with me instead of him.

Go figure.  I'm thinking that he *still* hasn't figured out small town
culture.  Everyone in the area knows what's been going on, without
being told.

As y'all know, New Year's is our wedding anniversary.  Soooo...

In my typical fashion, I kept myself busy cooking for other people.
Had a good time, too.

One milestone passed.  One less to endure.  And you managed to have a good
time anyway.  That's all to the good.

Happy New Year, Kitten, and may it be a better year than the last one.
