Traffic ebbs and flows. You have to keep posting if you want people
to keep answering!

Just to think I used to worry about things like that.
Used to worry 'bout rich and skinny
'til I wound up poor and fat.

I've been MIA. I forgot to send our new snail-mail addy to the ISP,
so I didn't get the bill. :-/ That's kinda good news as well as bad
news. We've decided to not renew the ISP. It was causing too much
hassle to have access at home. We'll just come into town a couple
times a week to catch up on everything.
Also, we're in the middle of changing our domain name. Therefore,
anything @whitepine.com doesn't work anymore. I'll give y'all a
heads-up once the new domain (StBrigidsGateFarm) is up and running,
especially once we've got new stuff on the website.
Anyhow, MaryAnn, I'm Kitten. Chewy and I have been married just over
4 years. We have the following entourage in our home:
OS - just-turned-16yo son from a previous marriage of Chewy's
YD - 14yo daughter from above-mentioned relationship
YS - 13yo son from my previous marriage
TF - "the friend," OS's best friend (17yo), who's been living with us
since just before Thanksgiving
ES#2 - 17yo exchange student #2, a nice young man from the Middle East
who is staying with us temporarily (ES is now living with friends of
ours. Going from being the baby sister in a predominately female
household to being the oldest child in a predominantly male household
was apparently too much. Now she's the oldest child in a
predominately male household that has 3 boys under the age of 4.)
Sometimes I'll mention OD, our 22yo daughter from Chewy's first
marriage.
Also, we have a 7.5yo mastiff-rott-chow family dog, a 3mo Texas heeler
(3/4 blue/red heeler, 1/4 Aus. Shepherd), 3 goats, 19 chickens (2 hens
disappeared, 1 was hit by a gravel truck, and daddy brought us a
rooster), and a horse. Soon, we should be adding a Holstein and a few
bred heifers. (Yes, I sometimes talk about the farm. <g>)
Confusing enough? :-)

Hi Kitten!
Wow!...You have quite a houseful! I admire you....I think I should pray for
patience!....My SS and I had a long talk last night and I am hoping that we
ironed some things out. I will keep the group informed!....Thanks for
responding...

Patience is a good thing, but I stopped praying for it. Seems that
every time I did, new difficulties would arise. Now I pray for
guidance in my words and actions. That seems to do me more good.
I hope things go well with you and your SS. I've learned to look for
the "baby steps." I praise any little improvement, make an effort to
compliment the kids on every possible achievement, and thank them for
handling situations in a more productive manner than they have
previously used. That seems to help a lot.
But still, it's baby steps.

Hi Kitten!
Very well put..."Babysteps"....I like that term. I have seen some improvements
in his behavior towards me....so I am encouraged that our talk did some good
the other day. Thanks again for your input! MaryAnn C
