Really. But all year, I do the same thing at games. I take the baby, we
sit on the bleachers until he gets restless, then we move to the other side
of the diamond until he gets restless, then we go home.
BM has _seen_ this at every game. And don't tell me she hasn't noticed.
Yesterday, she sat right next to the woman I usually sit next to once I've
moved from the bleachers. I assume that meant she wanted to sit by me (-:
Actually, I'm just so sick of the dramatics I don't care anymore. So I did
what I always do, ended up sitting 2/3 of the game within 3 feet of her. I
said hello - she didn't. SS asked me for water, I didn't have any. She got
up without a word and took him her drink. When SS got run over on first
because he was straddling the base, I asked her if he had finished her
drink, she said yes. I asked the other woman to watch my stuff while I ran
to get some more water from the snack bar. BM snarls "I'll get it." Lady
next to us gives me bug eyes, I shrug. BM talks to SS, comes back, sits
down, doesn't get water. So I do. Took it over, SS drinks it right down.
Whatever.
Thankfully, the baby was good (and especially cute, if I do say so myself)
the whole time.
SS calls to me from the dugout, asks me if I'll give him money for a base
hit. I say "okay, you money-grubbing little fiend" - in retrospect,
probably not the best thing to say with his mom right there, but again, oh
well.
I assume if sitting by me was dampening her enjoyment of the game, she would
have moved, right?

Jane. Wake up. Not everybody's you.
Rebecca, if you were dampening her enjoyment of the game, she would
have stayed her fat butt right there so she'd have something to bitch
at Joe about.
Ignore Jane, she's new and too highly functional to understand most of
this stuff.

Yup, that's what I figured too. But I'm just too sick and tired of all this
crap to do anything different. I told him that after the game, he said it
was fine and he didn't care what I did. (I assume he means so long as I
don't take a swing at her or anything... although, come to think of it, that
happened last year, a kid's mom and grandma started duking it out behind the
backstop.) We have a mom-grandma pair that are pissed at each other this
year (mom's preg and unmarried) and they had a pretty good screamer a few
weeks ago.
Anyway, I've been encouraging SO to approach BM about settling their ongoing
court case (hasn't been submitted to the judge yet, long story), he's
mulling it over, doesn't think it will work. I'm so burned out, I've only
once considered approaching her myself. Or maybe I've learned my lesson,
who the hell knows or cares anymore.
