1) It is a holiday weekend. Most people are busy.
2) This isn't a "room" or even a message board.
3) Try misc.kids.

Well ok "news group" lol but it's not been just recently it's been like this
since I have started typing here, and that's why I just figured it was slow,
just because it always has been, am I wrong?

Actually the degree of activity fluctuates. It hasn't "always been" slow.
The activity here usually corresponds with 1) what people are doing in real
life; and 2) if the topics presented are of sufficient interest and
readability to motivate people to respond.

It comes and goes in phases. People are probably busy with
Thanksgiving/Holiday things. My guests only just left yesterday.
Anyone hit the stores yet? I was at the mall today and the crowds were
nowhere near what I was expecting.

I went shopping Friday and it was really packed but I really enjoyed myself.
There were store clerks everywhere I looked and I didn't have to wait in
line for more than a minute to check out. I was pleasantly surprised, and
got most all of my shopping done for Christmas.
With hope and heart,
Kathleen

I do my Chrismtas shopping online and avoid the crowded malls out here.

It would probably help if you kept in mind that a majority of people here
have older kids and that it's the holiday season. And of course, there's
always that pesky real life thing that tends to interfere with reading
newsgroups.
