When she has to pay for her own gas and tires and insurance, she'll get
a job. Just my two cents (and how I was raised). I had a job every
summer since I was 13. Anyways, just a thought. Maybe transferring
some of the financial responsibility to her will make her work for
something. But, girls are indeed different!

heh.
We had a young man here who said he wanted to do a farm internship.
Well, farm work was "too hard." (He'd only helped with the feeding and
helped clean up around the house and the barnyard. We've not done any
heavy work lately.) We got him a job in town, then (when I was too
frustrated to deal with him in our house any more) I found him an
apartment just a few blocks from his job.
This week, he got fired - no call, no show. Word around town is that
he thinks he can make it just fine relying on his monthly SSI checks.
Blech. He's not coming back here for another shot.
