She and I weren't able to get together, since I'm in downtown SF and
she's a bit out of town, but we had a nice talk on the phone. It's
really good to at least get a voice to go with the written word.

Yes, it was really nice to be able to associate a voice with
a personality, only sorry that I didn't have any transport
to get into San Francisco to meet up with you on Thursday.

I had an absolutely lovely holiday and loved California. I
was staying with my sister in Half Moon Bay, and then we
drove to Carmel Valley where we went wine tasting, drove to
the Post House Ranch near Big Sur for a wonderful meal
overlooking the ocean at sunset, did a tour of San Francisco
one day which was lots of fun, but mostly we did long walks
along the beach in Half Moon Bay, played bridge, and
socialised.
