Has anyone had experiences with a change in stool color & consistency when
switching from Power Mix to Concentrate or vice versa?  For some strange
reason when the babies are on the powder their stools are loose, mustard and
very similar to that of when I breastfed them.  When they're on the
concentrate, it's very dark and sticky brown-green.  I've been looking on
the web and can't seem to find anything about this.  I plan to discuss it
with the dr at our next appointment but was wondering if anyone has any
ideas?

thanx!

Actually, yes, we have had the same problem.  Our babies are on the
concentrate formula to supplement breast feedings, and we find the same
problem with the stools.  I am not sure why this happens, so I don't
have answers for you....but you are not alone.

I actually remember (almost 10 years ago), that we couldn't use powder
formula (we too supplemented breast feedings), as the babies got a whole lot
more gas and discomfort from the powder as opposed to the concentrate.

Shirley,

I just took a quick peek at the group after being gone for almost a year.

This post might have saved my sanity when my boys were born.  We used the
powder and they had TERRIBLE gas trouble. I never associated that and never
tried the concentrate.  We switched to soy and all was well.

Oh, the value of hindsight!
