Our poor multiples group. We are all so busy we don't have time anymore.

I thought I'd give a quick update. Morgan and Megan turned 8 on Tuesday.
Geez where does the time go? If anyone is looking for a good birthday idea
try a backwards up-side down party. We had a lot of fun. I can post details
if you want them.

DH and I are still separated (since September). He decided to quit his job
last month just to spice things up. I am trying to figure out what to do to
support these kids since he doesn't seem to want to help. Nothing like being
responsible for the kids, daycare, finances and the house. He doesn't visit
them either when he gets mad at me. Today he said, "I don't think that I
will be available to watch your kids for you today." I guess the end of my
marriage is near.

We have had no major kid issues lately to post. I keep wracking my brain for
something, so I look forward to all you with smaller twins needing advice. I
seem to have some of that left.
My best to everyone.
Post an update for your clan when you get a chance.

Hi Erin,

Gosh, I am sorry things are not good with DH.  That sucks, plain and
simple.  Come here and vent anytime you need to.

OK, I can't believe your girls are 8!!  How is that possible?  I would
love the details of the party...would it work for 10 year old girls?  I
am intrigued!

No major kid issues here either, and I'll take that any day.  The boys
are loving preschool and are also anxiously awaiting spring and being
back outside.  We had one day last week when it was almost 70 degrees
and it was quite a tease!  Erin will be 10 this summer and is doing
great. Fourth grade is really quite a transition year in a lot of ways.
The school year is flying by!

Well, it was good to hear from you.  I hope things start to look up for
you, I will be thinking about you.

Take care,
Ellen

Erin,
I am so soory that life sucks right now. Hubby sounds like a loser and
should be kicked to the curb. Hard to believe that they can turn into
monsters, right?? We are here if you need us. :)

A & A are great! They will be 2  1/2 in March. I don't know where the
time has gone. We are still waiting for snow to melt and it's killing us
to be inside. Anxiously awaiting Spring, better yet SUMMER!! We are so
busy with all our activities....gymnastics, art class, playgroups and
now I just joined the gym, so they will be in the daycare a couple times
a week. We are also going on a mini va-cay at the end of the week.

Keep us updated!

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with your DH. If this is a
recent change in his behavior, is there any chance he might be
clinically depressed?

We just got back from Oregon; we were visiting DW's family. Her
grandmother just turned 100, so they had kind of a family reunion to
celebrate.

Yikes, that sounds awful.  I've never understood any parent who opts for
less rather than more time with the children.  There's no "your kids."  It
should be "our kids."  :-(

DH was a single dad when I first met him in 1987, raising Janna, who was
almost 1 year old.  It is tough to be a single parent.  I hope you have a
good support system!  (((Erin)))

I was also somewhat stunned to read that.  I feel very sad for the
kids.  What kind of father could have such an attitude?

I'm so involved in supporting father's rights, because of my own history and
background, that it just shocks me when there's a dad who plays to the
stereotype.  I don't know any dads like that in real life, but I guess there
are still some of them out there, which sucks.  I hope the kids aren't going
to end up paying the price of their father's disinterest.  More to the
point, I hope the father can maintain and develop a healthy relationship
with his kids, which will benefit everyone.
