Hi guys, I am now past my EDD and getting well and truly fed up! The MW came
around yesterday to check up on me and my blood pressure has dropped which
is good news as it's been steadily rising for the last couple of months! She
also said that baby had dropped a bit as there was more room at the top and
she couldn't move his head around anymore which is a massive relief as he is
massive!!! I think he may have come loose again yesterday afternoon after me
and DD went for a 40 minute walk but after hoovering the house top to bottom
and doing the bathrooms this morning I think he's gone back down again!
Yipee!

I'm sick of curries, bumpy rides, foot spas and tried sex once but wasn't
very comfy so not in a hurry to go back there again! Will definetly not
touch cod liver oil! So I'm sat here desperately urging the contractions to
start!

The MW told me yesterday that due to complications with DD after being
induced and then an emergency c-section they may very well take me in this
weekend for a planned c-section which I really don't want to happen as I
can't face being away from DD for 3-4 nights and I dread to think of the
consequences on her. :-(

So as you can guess I'm pulling my hair out a bit now, I think the chances
are it'll be a c-section again but fingers crossed DS will make an
appearance before it gets to that! I've got my appointment with the
consultant on Thursday so we'll see what she says.

Sorry to go on and on and thanks for listening!

Hugs

Adele

Adele,

Your first delivery sounds identical to mine, not too pleasant all round and
I can understand you not wanting to repeat the process.  I'm due again in
Sept and will try my damnedest not to be induced this time!

As to the folk remedies, sounds like you tried them all (except maybe
raspberry juice, but that's about as effective as the others, lol) so just
sit tight and rant on here as much as you like!

Thanks Angie, much appreciated!! LOL! I've just actually booked a
consultation with a local reflexologist who lives around the corner from me
to try and give that a go, the consultation is free and I'm going to try and
fit in at least one session before I see the consultant on Thursday to see
how that goes. If nothing else it'll help me to relax and you never know it
might just work to bring on labour!

Thanks again, I'll let you all know how I get on!

Hi, just to let you know that i booked myself an apointment at 39 weeks with
the reflexologist to 'stimulate labour' (apparently only works if your body
is ready).  The area is around your ankle joint ish.  Well, i had the hour
treatment at 4pm and contractions started about 1am! My waters broke at 7am
and my DD was born at 1.59 am the next day.  Im positive it was the
reflexology that started me off :)  Hubby is a bit more sceptical (arent
they all!)

All i know is that most first timers are late, and there i was about a week
early (i was sooo against being induced that i wanted to fit in two sessions
a week from weeks 39+, our hospital would let us go to 42 before being
induced but hey, it worked after one session!)

Heres sending you labour starting vibes, come on baby :)

Good luck
Marie

Thanks for that Marie, that is great news! I was afraid that it would only
work if my body is ready but we'll see, the first consultation was free and
then its £20 for the next and £25 from then on so fingers crossed! Really
enjoyed the session and my feet are all tingly now! LOL! We'll see what
happens!

Thanks

Thanks Jen, I'm still here at the moment :-O, had my 2nd reflexology session
last night and after having period like pains after the first session, last
nights just left me feeling totally relaxed and absolutely shattered! Had
the best nights sleep I've had in ages! Off to see the consultant this
afternoon to see what she is going to plan with me.

Just a note - it's not up to the consultant to decide, you know that,
right? She can offer you advice, but whether you take it or not is entirely
up to you :-)
