Am I feeding right?07 Mar 2004 23:47 GMT24
My dd is turning to 9 months next week. I started solid on her when she
turned 6 months, and start with rice cereal. She loves it very much even
now. However, I start feeding her with meat when she turned to 8 months,
started with Turkey. She seemed to be ok; however, this week, ...
Leaving my DS: Need reassurance07 Mar 2004 23:17 GMT19
I know I don't post much these days, but now I really need you guys for
reassurance, encouragement, I don't know what. Sorry, this could get
long and will probably be incoherent. I'm pretty tired.
Last week my mum was in a car accident home in Australia. She's ok but
Those growth charts07 Mar 2004 23:01 GMT24
Jaden had his 6-month check up two days ago.  He's gone from 15 # 12 oz
at 4-months-and-10-days to 16 # 14 oz at 6 months.  Until this check
he'd always been at the 75th percentile for weight, now he's 50th.
Naturally it brought comment from the nurse practitioner.  (I know, I

So I make to mypostpartum check 12 weeks late (I've had incredibly bad
luck). When they do the intake and ask date of LMP, i say Jan 2003. So the
tech is all astounded and shocked, I tell her Im breastfeeding and she says
"Wow, I've never heard of that". (referring to lack of ...

Public Nudity (Breast Feeding)07 Mar 2004 21:26 GMT5
Women who breast feed in public are one small step away from becoming
porn stars.   Deep down in their psyche, they want to be seen, since
there are always alternatives.
Bleak over a baby (semi-OT)07 Mar 2004 20:28 GMT72
Just thought I'd unload about the gathering I went to the other day.  A
friend's 2-month-old was there and I came away feeling so odd after seeing
how he was handled.  He was asleep in a bouncy seat when we got there, then
was laid on a blanket after a few minutes' dandling when he ...
CTTD (sort of)07 Mar 2004 19:45 GMT13
At the tender age of just 10 weeks, our little bean has discovered the
television.  He's not just watching, but cooing in response.
<sigh>
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Dh and I went to one of his co-workers homes for a gathering the other day.
His co-worker's daughter and her husband were there with her newly turned
1yo.  We had our kids there as well.  I was pretty sure the baby was
breastfed because mom disappeared for a little while after he ...
Is it possible to bf and NOT cosleep?07 Mar 2004 17:58 GMT41
Did any of your bfed babies sleep in a crib/away from you at nights?
How did you manage that?
Thanks.
Sling/carrier rec?07 Mar 2004 17:11 GMT3
I'm sure this has been covered here before, so I hope you'll forgive the redundancy --
My little bean is 10 weeks old and about 11 pounds or so.  I've tried a couple of different carriers (Snugli, EuroRider) and a "SlingRider" sling, and loathe all of them.
The carriers feel like ...
Two years!!!07 Mar 2004 11:47 GMT18
As of today, I've officially been nursing for two years!  My little
sweetheart is two today!  Two years ago I was in labor, and this
morning she woke me up by snuggling up to me and saying, "Mommy, nurse
Laura Anne please."  I had always planned to nurse for at least a
