Nipples feel bruised30 Jun 2004 22:49 GMT4
My son is 8 weeks old and breastfeeding is still painful. I just got
over mastitis for the 2nd time but I don't think that's causing the
pain. My nipples hurt and when my son latches on and sucks it feels
bruised and it's painful. He eats almost every hour, so I'm not sure

Do you use them?  At what age?  Does your child like them?  What type?

What advice would you give to someone who is contemplating it?  I'm most
interested in answers from those who have BTDT.
Fever in Young Infants and the Emergency Room30 Jun 2004 19:35 GMT20
I have a horror story.  My one month old son woke up the other night
with a fever of 103F.  I immediately rushed him to the hospital.
While I was there the ER wanted to start an IV, they tried to
catheterize him (sp) for the urine sample.  No success.  Poked him 6
Continous pooping :-((((30 Jun 2004 17:37 GMT16
My 2 week old baby girl has been pooping like crazy since past 4 days.
She poops at least  8 -10 times in a 24 hour period. She passes a lot
of gas and then the poop comes in less quantity. So basically theres
lot of noise and less substance ;-)) (if u know what i mean ). Is this

Spitting up 110 X a day...30 Jun 2004 12:42 GMT38
I have mentioned this before but it is getting really.....just really
taxing. It is taxing because that's all I can do, all day, is clean up
spitup, change spitup-wetted clothing, etc. I have to put pads down
everywhere. I have about 5 waterproof pads and I can't keep them washed- I
so frustrated30 Jun 2004 11:55 GMT18
DD is 5 days old.  Milk came in on day 2-3.  For some reason, milk was not
being transferred to DD adequately and she became frantic by Monday/Tuesday.
I saw an LC and she wanted me to pump and give DD pumped milk to get her to
the point where she was less frustrated to nurse.  When ...
12 month old suddenly gone off of his food29 Jun 2004 17:36 GMT3
My 12 month old son has suddenly gone off his food. He keeps puking
everytime I try to feed him, and I dont know why. He is OK with his milk.
I give him Farleys cereals. I have tried giving him rice and veg, but is
not too keen on that either.
Moo Boy NIP on UK TV29 Jun 2004 14:27 GMT2
This was filmed when Moo boy was about 4 mths old.  It took all
afternoon and he breastfed pretty continously throughout so I'd be
surprised if they managed to edit it all out.
You will have to live in the ITV west region to get it though.
Can I feed this to her???29 Jun 2004 06:50 GMT2
was just wondering if I can feed the baby milk that was pumped with the pump
not being sterilized but only washed with dishsoap? Or is a nearly 3 month
old too sensitive for that?
TIA
Isabella's 4 month weigh-in29 Jun 2004 06:21 GMT5
She had her shots this week and she was measured.  Isabella is 16 pounds
4 ounces and 25 1/4 inches long.  She is around 97%ile for height and
weight, and 50%ile for head (takes after me, I have a small head).  She
is trying to sit.  She can sit by propping herself up with an arm ...

poison and breastfeeding28 Jun 2004 14:18 GMT4
It's definately summer because I have once again got some type of poison
on my face, either poison ivy or oak.  I've gotten so incredibly
allergic to it that I contract it off spores in the air, not any real
physical contact. I got it 3 times last summer, all on my face.  I've
