i have no posts from 30 march, and only a handful.  My ISP is doing it just
to irk me, arent they?  it is not that nobody has posted?

Our beloved DD (now almost three months old and now sleeping in a sling on
my lap as I am writing this -- isn't life wonderful? :-) is so far 100%
nursed, but we use a bottle with pumped milk when mom has to go away from
home (or she is dead tired so she can sleep through whole ...

for us to nurse through pregnancy, then why the hell does it hurt so much?

I'm currently 25.5 weeks pg and plan to breastfeed the new baby. (I
pumped for my twin DDs for 13 months but they were never able to nurse
because of their prematurity.) So, I'm familiar with pumping and
bottle feeding but not nursing, at all.

This morning, my left breast just plain doesn't want to let down-and it's
full enough to be uncomfortable. I can't maintain suction on the lactina on
that side (and have swapped out everything-valve, horn, bottle, tubing,
top/bottom slot on the pump) Hand pumping with the Avent is ...

Leslie, I figured I'd post this here because I know it's really rough on
you to think that you might have to start supplementing, and this
information has certainly helped me with a similar (for entirely
different reasons) struggle.

I am down to about a three week stash of frozen breast milk.  I am not
pumping enough to keep up with my son's demand.  My supply is also
diminishing and I have tried drinking mother's milk tea and eaten more
oatmeal but to no avail.   I guess I have two options:

I have a Medela Pump-In-Style pump.  It has a little cooler compartment with
those blue cooling-bar things.  How long can breast milk be stored in that
compartment? Is it the equivalent of refrigeration?  Can I keep expressed
milk there during the day until I get home from work, ...

Just curious what people think about this story- the mom is suing since
the hospital brought her the wrong baby to nurse.

I've been posting a bit, and thought I should reintroduce
myself properly.  I posted here a couple of years ago when
DS was new (born 5/02) and before I got busy with work again.

My 16 month old daughter is sick and when she tries to nurse she just
cries because she can't breathe.  Now, even if I try to clear up her
nose before nursing, she is acting too scared to try to nurse.  I guess
this is a nursing strike?  I am terrified that my supply is going to
