help- need to get 7 month old to take med30 Apr 2005 17:21 GMT30
Any tips out there on how to get a determined 7.5 month old to take her
antibiotic? (ear infection) We are on our 2nd course and she initially
would take it from the dropper without too much fuss, but now screams,
wiggles, grabs the dropper, shakes her head side to side, clamps her

Change in nursing habits of 5 month old30 Apr 2005 03:12 GMT2
Hm, you've all got me thinking.  DD1 nursed to sleep all the time.  At about
5 months she quit, and it was quite a battle to get her to sleep.  DD2
however has never nursed to sleep, or comfort nursed - until about 2 weeks
ago.  Has anyone else experienced anything like this - and ...
Question for a friend - how to give reflux medication30 Apr 2005 03:09 GMT6
My friend's baby has just been diagnosed with reflux at 5 weeks - not a big
surprise, as his older brother had it.  The baby is on Gaviscon, and she is
having trouble giving it to him - she is breastfeeding, and he will not take
it mixed with water or ebm, and she doesn't want to ...
Saying hi29 Apr 2005 23:49 GMT6
Hiya. I recognize some names from misc.kids.pregnancy & just wanted to say
hi to the people here who aren't there.
I've been reading the newsgroup for months now and I feel like I know some
of you already.

I've been lurking here for awhile.  My first is due May 11th.  I'm so glad
I've been reading in here, you guys have great information and have even
answered questions I never thought about asking!  Anyway once the little guy
gets here I'm sure I'll have questions, so I just ...
Introducing a bottle - conclusion29 Apr 2005 14:04 GMT5
Well just for those that are interested ....
My wife had her op. I tried my best to get Lucy to take a bottle but she
just wasn't having it. So - she had a whopping 6 hour gap between her feed
until my wife was back from surgery and felt well enough to BF.
Hales look up please29 Apr 2005 12:39 GMT6
My name is Chrissy I`ve just resubbed to MKB after a 2 1/2 year absence
during which I`m happy to say I breastfed DD for 2 + years until she self
weaned.
We have just had a little boy who is 9 days old and I am having a few health
jellybean nursing pillow?29 Apr 2005 06:07 GMT19
I'm shopping around for a nursing pillow for #2 - #1's pillow is old
and flattened, and I sort of think it's something they should each have
their own special one of . . .
#1's pillow is a "Baby Sitter" made by Jolly Jumper. It's okay, but
parathyroid scan28 Apr 2005 08:35 GMT6
I have a parathyroid scan scheduled for next week due to an unidentified
lump in my neck...it was detected over 6 months ago but luckily the docs
held off on any aggressive action on it, but have decided its time to
figure out what it is and what to do about it.
Shiny update28 Apr 2005 07:27 GMT4
Good news--the deletion is relatively small... but what it means is still a
question.

Questions about nursing a 5 month old28 Apr 2005 03:42 GMT8
Hi all, I'm afraid I'm not really even a lurker these days, as the 2 year
old and the 5 month old just don't allow me computer time.  So apologies for
just jumping in and asking questions.
My 5 month old will only ever nurse from one side each feed - but then gets
1 Year Old Keeps Falling Down27 Apr 2005 20:40 GMT19
I just can't believe it!!!  Morgan fell down today and scraped up her nose,
lip and forehead.  She was not even walking fast.
Last week 3 times in one day she fell and bumped her noggin.
I feel like a horrible mother!
12 month roll call (X-posted)27 Apr 2005 18:24 GMT14
Well, my sweet baby boy is one today!  He woke me up with a sweet kiss this
morning and has been the cutest boy all day!
We have already had one little party for him and will have another one this
weekend.
Plunket and breastfeeding -  for those in NZ27 Apr 2005 10:50 GMT7
For anyone who's interested...
(Note for those outside of NZ that Plunket is the organisation most women
are referred to for baby care and feeding advice after their lead maternity
carer has discharged them. They do home visits, weigh ins, provide
