Family Crisis Update28 Sep 2005 17:43 GMT12
We had a really nice visit with John today.  He's been there almost
three weeks and this makes the third time I've driven the kids down. I
went three times myself this week, once for a class, once for family
therapy, and then today.  This will all get better next week when he
Breastfeeding questions28 Sep 2005 13:46 GMT13
I have a 4 week old infant, and am still trying to figure out some
things.  I have a few questions and need some advice.
#1.  How much milk do women usually produce at this stage?  I can pump
about 4 oz from "fresh" breasts (4-5 hour interval).  Is this normal?

I am SOOOO glad we are still nursing.  We are packing up to evacuate

the path looks like- we have a voluntary evac order here, but not
mandatory, and the roads are so packed etc.....that I don't relish a 20
Herbal Teas?27 Sep 2005 21:03 GMT3
I have a question.  I am sick with a cold and have a sore throat.  I am
wondering if it's ok to use the Throat Coat Tea by Traditional Medicinals
while nursing?  It has herbs like licorice root and marshmallow.
Thanks for any input.

End of amenorrhea27 Sep 2005 07:09 GMT14
Well, I knew the lactational amenorrhea wouldn't last forever, but I'd just
gotten so used to not having periods!  DS turned 2.5 this past Thursday, and
yesterday, period started.  My jaw actually dropped--after more than three
years, I'm out of practice.  The weird thing about it ...

Well, I took the plunge and let Shiny have some banana... although she
doesn't sit well, she did *great*. I am skipping babyfood and just using a
bit of real banana mooshed a bit and given on the tip of a finger. She loves
it, acts like I've been holding out on her. Bird beaks ...

I'm a bit of a newbie but wondered if I could ask some help.
DD is teething - none through yet though.  She's developed this fabulous

together and not letting go.

who was born on August 10th. I started with a bad staph infection and
had to go to a lactation doctor to help improve the breastfeeding
relationship with my baby.
