Ok, not only do I have thrush or some other unknown infection in my nipples, and a blood blister that has popped and reappeared again, my darling boy has just tonight cut his first tooth... Is it one of the little bottom ones nicely covered by the tongue while breastfeeding?

| Advice on food and handling it... | 30 Jan 2006 19:30 GMT | 22 |
Alright, DD is just about 6 months old now. She's currently on baby food (she's had stuff like peas, carrots, green beans, squash, wax beans, applesauce, bananas, etc) I give her some pablum in the morning - sometimes with a bit of bananas or whatever mixed in, but not always, ...

| Breastfeeding and feelings... | 30 Jan 2006 17:30 GMT | 5 |
I'm wondering if anyone out there has or does or would feel similar to what I'm feeling lately... I was a bf baby, so were both of my younger brothers. I have always had great, great support from my mother as far as nursing goes...

DD Ilona is doing great, she turned 5months last friday. She feeds pretty much on a schedule, she wakes up at 6 and feeds and then will feed again at around 10:30 am, in the meantime I try to extract milk at around 8 or 9 to store or to have for the day in case I need to run

| Starting Solids | 29 Jan 2006 11:36 GMT | 5 |
Ilona as I mentioned in a previous message today, is 5 months, the pediatrician told me to start on solids: the first week juice, second week juice and cereal, third week juice cereal and fruits etc, etc. We live in Ecuador, where things might be a bit different than in the

| is it ok to let them cry a bit? | 29 Jan 2006 11:04 GMT | 21 |
My daughter is now 6 wks old, and I have a horrible feeling when she cries. I especially can't stand it when she is in the back seat of the car and starts to wail... What do I do? Usually I hurry to find a spot and pull over, climb in the back seat and try to pacify her. I try ...

| Decongestants? | 29 Jan 2006 04:42 GMT | 1 |
I don't know if this is a dumb question or not--but do decongestants such as Sudafed tend to lessen milk supply? I am wondering because I have a cold and am hesitant to take anything, but would gladly take them if there is no risk.

| Barium Swallow Study/bottle | 28 Jan 2006 19:57 GMT | 31 |
I'm a long-time lurker, and I have four children. My fourth was born with spina bifida at the end of September (he's almost 4 months), and along with that came some other stuff. He has Arnold-Chiari Malformation Type II, and it can affect swallowing and cause aspiration. He's ...

| Can I have my Zoloft now please? <rant> | 28 Jan 2006 11:00 GMT | 18 |
Ok, now I'm annoyed. I saw a new Dr. today because mine hasn't been helpful with treating my PPD. I told the new Dr. that despite my history of having tried many antidepressants in the past, and being against the idea of using them while pg or bf, I'd finally resolved my issues ...

| I feel like a genius! | 27 Jan 2006 22:49 GMT | 2 |
I was all set to write another "help me!" post because Madi is just not taking to the bottle well and I start work in a couple weeks. We've tried different brands of nipples, different people giving her the bottle, using the car seat, etc. She would either just gnaw on the ...
