Nursing Pillow13 Apr 2006 05:58 GMT2
There's a new nursing pillow on the market, My Baby's Nest. It appears
to be good for larger mothers or those who have had C-sections. It's
expensive, but maybe it would be worth it for some mothers. What do you
think?

Which Breast When?12 Apr 2006 17:20 GMT7
My midwife and child health (Plunket) nurse have given me totally
different versions of how to feed in terms of which breast when. (Maybe
both their advice is right but for different stages in his development.)
Midwife: Alternate at each feed, i.e. one breast for 2-3 hours, then ...
funny what happens when you mention breastfeeding12 Apr 2006 14:27 GMT6
on another newgroup (cam.misc) a thread drifted off topic as usually
happens, initially a guy said he would want his wife to look after there
children at home and isn't it unfair the way the government seems to be
wanting people to return to work rather than look after there own ...
Even when it's not fun, part 212 Apr 2006 11:15 GMT11
When Shiny turned about 7 months old, the doctor finally took me
seriously when I worried that her gain had plateaued over the past 7
weeks. We'd started her on solids at just over 6 months, and discovered
to our delight that she took to thick, chunky banana like a champion.
Feeding Expressed Milk12 Apr 2006 00:40 GMT5
I'm a long-time m.k.b/m.k.p lurker and found these groups invaluable (as
well as being a huge time-waster!) during my pregnancy.
I've been breastfeeding my first child since he was born a month ago,
and it's all going well (thank goodness!). Now I'd like to think about
nursing strike question11 Apr 2006 13:51 GMT3
Reading the thread below on self-weaning, I had a question for the more
experienced mums. How can I be sure that DS2 is really on a nursing
strike? He will gladly eat in any environment where he refuses to nurse.
While eating he is relaxed and not at all distracted. The contrast ...
Teeth11 Apr 2006 13:43 GMT3
Does anyone's child grind their teeth?
Will has the top and bottom middle two, but another one on the way up
the top... just this week he has been grinding his teeth and it is
making my hair stand on end!  I think it is because he's trying to put
weaning question10 Apr 2006 19:15 GMT7
Ok, I planned to feed until at least 2years if not longer basiclly to let
tara wean herself, problem is she seems to wants to wean now and I am not
really happy with it, she is only 9 1/2 months and to me that just isnt long
enough, she will not latch at all just pushes me away.  ...
And back to the final curtain10 Apr 2006 14:38 GMT7
Since Jamie was down to nursing only a few minutes at bedtime and I was
planning to wean him fairly soon, I went to "don't offer, don't refuse"
sometime a couple of weeks back.  Instead of getting the breast out
ready for him when we lie down together, I would lie down with him ...
ambien, melatonin or valerian?  (also, hypnosis)10 Apr 2006 13:41 GMT1
I'm taking a poll.  :)
Seriously, I'm a lifelong insomniac and although I experienced a temporary
"cure" through new mom exhaustion I'm having trouble again.  Curse of the
baby who sleeps well, I guess.  *duck*
Even when it's not fun....10 Apr 2006 07:42 GMT5
The more I learn about my daughter, the more glad I am that we stuck it
out and kept nursing. And at one year, it doesn't look like I'll be
weaning her any time soon. If she had zero issues with table foods and
no obvious food sensitivities, I would be sorely (and I do emphasize
BSD message board10 Apr 2006 05:24 GMT7
I wanted to remind everyone that I have a message board at my site
that I'd love ya'll to become a part of.  It's gotten kind of slow
lately....and I just want to kickstart some of the discussions.  I
really think that once it gets going, it will take off...
Pump Resistance?10 Apr 2006 03:15 GMT11
Hello all. My original post here was thinking that maybe my supply was
dwindling, but I think that I am perhaps becoming resistant to the
breastpump. DS is almost seven months old and I have been back to work
since he was 12 weeks. I had one decrease in my pump output, and it is
Eczema issues - any advice?09 Apr 2006 21:24 GMT25
Alexander gets pretty bad eczema. It starts on his hands and feet and then
he gets it in the crook of his elbows and behind his knees. Eventually his
cheeks get chapped and it covers his forearms.
We know he has allergy problems. My husband is allergic to a lot of things
