Is she getting enough protein?31 May 2007 23:05 GMT17
We're not really vegetarians, but DH is strongly opposed to giving DD
meat now. I'm trying to figure out what foods to give her to include
protein. She's 10.5 months, on 3 solids meals per day (most days), but
she doesn't eat a ton. Our menu looks like this:

So, DS, who is now 10 months old, has been diagnosed as highly
allergic to milk, peanuts, eggs, wheat and soy.   We have a good
allergist, and he commended me for BFing "so lomg"  and said I should
keep it up as long as possible.   Which is fine by me, but I have to

I posted this before but it didn't show up for me so I'm reposting it.
Apologies for any duplication.
This morning DD (7 and 1/2 months) is sporting a forehead that is red and
covered in tiny bumps. They're all really small and close to each other, so
Multiple food allergies- sorry, OT28 May 2007 22:43 GMT6
So my 10 month old DS has now been diagnosed with multiple food
allergies.  He had hives to yogurt and mac and cheese, and so got
worked up and turns out he is highly allergic to dairy, nuts, wheat,
eggs, and somewhat allergic to soy.  He's been off of it for a week,

vegans sentenced for baby death26 May 2007 17:07 GMT33
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18574603/
seems to me the fact they are vegan is irrelevant, the article seems to
imply they were using this as defence, but doesn't mention breastfeeding at
all. I checked out a few vegan sites about breastfeeding and cannot find
Weaning from a breast pump?23 May 2007 22:22 GMT3
Can anyone help me? I need to wean my daughter and have only been able
to provide her breast milk with a pump. I read about reducing one feed
every few days. What do I do for the other feeds? Do I pump my breasts
empty?
She eats (and a question)!22 May 2007 13:25 GMT17
Very little, but still.  Over a few days, she ate one baby food jar of those
wax beans (the ones that she was finding it funny to 'gag' on) and she has
now been alright with the barley cereal, which she eats every now and then.
DD2 is just about 7 months old, but I find that my ...

I am curious if anyone can point to how much an 11 month old should be
eating?  My DD is a poor eater and I am afraid she isn't eating enough
and so may be even loosing weight.
Thanks
Infant Asthma18 May 2007 21:53 GMT3
Just recently my DD was coughing up so much that she was throwing up
milk daily.  Finally, she was prescribed asthma medication and that
seems to have helped with her coughing.  We were told to give 2 puffs/
day for 6 weeks, if her cough is completely gone then to give just 1
