trying to understand how gas is formed...31 Jul 2007 03:05 GMT6
hi there, i have been abstaining from eating various foods, i have
been reasoning that if they are known to be gassy for adults(e.g.
baked beans, cola) , then the gas might end up in the baby
but now it is occuring to me that i dont have the slightest idea of

My daughter is seven weeks old and feeding well - ok, it often still
hurts quite a lot, but that's definitely getting better, and she's
healthy and growing. I want to keep breastfeeding her exclusively for
some months to come, but it would be nice to *occasionally* be able to

For new nursing moms?21 Jul 2007 04:27 GMT9
Looking for some ideas, so if you have any, do let me know...
My cousin's wife is expecting some time soon.  I actually have no idea, and
I really kind of don't care.  I don't care much for this cousin (or his
parents and brother, but I would pick this particular cousin, minus his ...
Clingy 1 year old20 Jul 2007 13:56 GMT18
My normally happy, friendly, sociable DD has turned into clingy
toddler. She still is sociable, but has been really needy and not
wanting anyone but mommy or daddy, and sometimes not us either! Today
when I dropped her off at daycare she clung to me and wouldn't let go.
Refusing solids19 Jul 2007 05:45 GMT5
My DD is 12months old, will be 13 soon.  She is living on breastmilk
still.  I have tried various times with various foods to get her to
eat solids but she just wont do it.  If i give her chicken she will
eat a bit, but not so much for fruits and veggies.  Occasionally she
Treating yeast infections correctly is critical19 Jul 2007 05:39 GMT1
Yeast infection can be a persistent condition, as many of us have
experienced. If your symptoms recur again and again even after they
have been treated successfully, it could be that the infection never
went away in the first place. It was - and possibly is - always there,
still not eating18 Jul 2007 05:46 GMT4
We are now on day 8 of Emily not eating.  Her fever comes and goes, but the
symptoms don't seem to get any better.  She cries inconsolably for hours, is
fussy and tired.  She has a runny nose and a dry cough.  She says she is
hungry all throughout the day, but she doesn't want to ...
at my wits end16 Jul 2007 02:31 GMT9
Emily is about 19 months now, and everything has been going great.  3 days
ago though she came down with a fever and hasn't eaten since.  She keeps
telling me she's hungry, but the only thing she wants to eat is ice cream,
and only a couple bites.  She is still drinking plenty.  ...
Update to the wedding question...13 Jul 2007 22:05 GMT3
It's been a while... We've been extremely busy, it seems, since school's
been out!
I left N at home (he had to work anyways) and took the kids out of province
to the lake with my mom the first week of July, and now we're (well, I am,
Baby Jack13 Jul 2007 14:07 GMT14
Born at home by midwife on 7/7. Weighs 8 pounds 12 ounces. 21 inches long.
Champion breastfeeder. :) Nursed soon after his birth. Does great after he
latches on.
Tandem advice?13 Jul 2007 14:07 GMT6
I'm still nursing my 2-year-old before naps & at night. He nurses sometimes
if he hurts himself, but he mostly doesn't want to. He hasn't nursed a lot
more since the baby was born. He comes over to take a sip occasionally just
to see if he can. :) I'm totally fine with this.
Good-bye and Thank you for all the fish...13 Jul 2007 12:39 GMT8
Just a good-bye here..  I lost my son at 5 weeks and one day to sids.
Larry, who'se last name I can not remember atm, you were most helpful this
round of breastfeeding and my last round of breastfeeding (My daughter is 2

Wow!! No more diarrhea11 Jul 2007 00:43 GMT1
I wanted to post a followup on my ds.  MANY months ago, I posted a
message about how he had diarrhea off & on constantly--as well as lots
of spitting up on those days.  Well, I tried varying my diet and
really didn't find much except confusion, as he would get it when I
I'm giving up...08 Jul 2007 00:54 GMT10
But only for tonight :D
I picked up a small manual breast pump earlier today and thought I'd give it
a shot.  It was a decent price, and I can return it with exceptions within
90 days...
