Conversation with Katherine at dinner time about one of her friends
'Mummy, F wasnt feeling very well today, she looked all hot and red. She
looked very sad' She paused and looked puzzled 'they gave her a
cardboard hat, but she didnt put it on - I dont know why....'

My mom does all of her banking and checks through Quicken on the computer.
My sister had to print some checks for my mom and had them sitting out for
her to sign. When my mom went to sign them, someone already had done it. It
was Meme, the 4 year old! In perfect pre-school ...

It seems like all I do in here lately is complain... I'm sorry you all are
probably tired of my sh*t.  Thanks for putting up with me.

Second day of the Christmas/Summer hold and I have 4 kids throwing up
with what looks like strep throat, swollen neck glands and headaches,
and three with just the throat, glands and headaches, I've gone through
a packet of panadol with them already this morning for the ...

Well - here we go - 5 more working days left (great big happy dance)
until I finish up for good..
The only thing is, they're gonna be interminable - the other day there
was 5hrs work - and 60hrs of resource - you do the math... zzzzz

can chocolate truffles be frozen & not ruined? i'm trying to
plan out the baking/candy making order & trying to figure out
when to make the truffles :)
also, anybody have a good fondant recipe? i know i should go

...is what E tells me as she is heading to bed.

Can anyone tell me what to do in case Alena catches it???
Both my nieces, my neighbour and her son, and possibly now my brother all
have it! They've all had contact with  Alena!
Should I just nip it in the bud now and take her to a doctor?

It *had* to happen with Ty's obsession with the OLD cat...
I keep saying "leave Alkie alone, he doesn't want to play"
Well, it had to happen...
and I had to be the worst mother and say "I told you"

11 days till Christmas - and 17 days till DH's Birthday and I still
have NO idea what to get him.  
UGH!   I'm totally stumped.  I hate this stuff.

December is not the best month to fall off a plateau...:-( Of course
eating an entire box of Christmas sweets three days in a row probably
didn't help either ;-). Still ate less than 1500 calories today, even
with the sweets.

Today I found out that an acquaintance of mine passed away last
Thursday. Her youngest daughter was a few years older than I, but we
went to the same primary school. I've known this lady and her husband
for ages, at least 25 years. She was in her seventies, and a few years

Thanks to everyone for their advice on having OS's tonsils removed.  He had them (and his adenoids)
removed yesterday morning.  The surgery went smoothly.  He's been drinking and eating just fine.
Yesterday (a mere hours after his surgery!) he was eating chicken nuggets and ...

But I'm really sad tonight
Please send thoughts to NZ to my best friend's family who have lost a nephew
(to my best friend), son and grandson at 8 months gestation.
