Ok, now that my drive home is going to be in the dark for the next 4 months
or so, I just have to share my gripe about those horrible 'new' headlights
these days - those whitish-bluish ones.  [halogen, iirc?]  Anyway, they are
advertised as being safer than the other ones because ...

I think I'll be needing plenty of cheese to go with this whine :-/
Its been one of those mornings.....
Had a really bad nights sleep with this awful cold - blocked up and
coughing constantly and very achy. So it wasnt really the best start.

I usually am full of ideas for Christmas gifts  for DS and I to make for
various relatives.  This year, nada.  Google wasn't much help either.

How is your child's spelling homework set up? How do you help your child to
learn to spell?  On Mondays  - ds brings home a list of 10 words plus 5
'challenge' words.  He puts them in alphabetical order on Mondays. He writes

well, the pup is still in the hospital.  Man ... she is going to cost us a
bundle.
But, she seems to be doing better, however the vet said that she still may
not make it, it will take her several months to get better if she does.
