Spring has sprung - ideas for menus21 Apr 2006 08:38 GMT14
It seems that here in Northern California, spring has finally spring and I
just don't feel like eating heavy winter foods anymore. What's your favorite
spring time meal, recipes, taste bud tantalizers?
Can you tell I have had the kids on Spring break this week and it seems to
The best day EVER!!!21 Apr 2006 08:35 GMT12
Hey Guys,
I'm having the best day!!!  I whine and moan and worry so much about Charles
and all the therapy and the phone calls and people coming in and out of my
house.  Today certainly made up for all of that.
In a bit of a muddle here [got long, sorry]21 Apr 2006 08:30 GMT8
When we moved here there was one whole child DS' age in the neighborhood, a
boy 9 months older than DS.  They hit it off and have enjoyed many hours of
play, often out of direct adult supervision.  There have been nearly no
reported problems, reported either by them or by neighbors, ...
Second guessing myself20 Apr 2006 19:27 GMT23
When I was a teenager, my parents had unreasonable rules about me
dating that, in effect, meant that I could not date at all.  I was
totally boy crazy and snuck out to meet boys behind their backs. For
example,  I would pretend to take the dog for a walk, take to the park

I was hit about 2-3 weeks ago on our road.  There were a bunch of 4-wheelers
coming and my best guess was that the one in front stopped and the guy
behind him didn't pay attention and couldn't stop so he swerved because I
watched them all slow down but this guy just veered out and ...
close one20 Apr 2006 09:38 GMT6
Just come back from the vets. I was at a colleauges house helping write
an election leaflet when I heard a screech of brakes coming from the
busy main road outside the house. There was a little white dog bounding
about very excitedly in the middle of the road with no owner to be ...

bike storage19 Apr 2006 15:29 GMT8
OK - put your thinking caps on.  We need an efficient way to store bikes in
the garage - what do you all use?  We've got two kid bikes and will be
getting two adult bikes.  Does anyone have something that takes up minimal
space, yet is simple enough that using your bike isn't a ...

of any grants for women in business or in agriculture?
Chewy was approached Saturday about us providing a major amount of
pastured poultry on a regular basis.  We need funding to get everything
in place if we're going to get this contract.
Controversial.  Article that says a fetus under 25 weeks cannot feel pain18 Apr 2006 16:42 GMT5

I am not sure exactly why but this article has me outraged and thought it
would make for interesting discussion here.  NOTE: Termination/abortion
mentioned.
people can be so kind18 Apr 2006 16:40 GMT5
one of those awful terrible brag moments but it made me so happy.
I took Katherine to the Easter vigil tonight and my friend took her
daughter too. Its the first time they've been and for us its very
special, starting with a bonfire and candles, then for kids it gets a

We bought a house just yesterday. I am going to get it renovated,
and turn it into a bed and breakfast. I was thinking bakery/coffeeshop,
but, that would take many more thousands of dollars that I doubt I'd be
able to make back, after much more extensive renovations. Now I've ...

We had friends round for Easter lunch so we had:
