Its a public day at the air show today. Really fantastic day out and its
real privilege to live so close to it. We didnt have to get up early -
in fact K got up at 8:30 with the show opening at 9:30. I checked the
forecast - and packed drinks, hats and suncream.

shoulder up date [xposted]22 Jul 2006 17:31 GMT12
My but this shoulder rehab is taking much longer than I had realized it
would, and yet my PT tells me that I am progressing at a rate comparable to
some with who had a less serious tear, less extensive surgery.  I hate to
think how much slower things could be progressing!

children about gay families.

Repairing fairy dresses21 Jul 2006 00:06 GMT17
DH let P (age 4) go on her bike wearing her loveliest fairy dress yesterday
before I got home. Grrr. He knows I don't allow dressups outside. Anyway she
got the skirt caught in the bike wheel or something and ripped a huge gaping
hole in the netting. It's purple tulle(?) with ...
Terminal Medical Care (or lack thereof)20 Jul 2006 21:56 GMT17
How's this for a real kick in the pants?  My dad's doctor has left the
practice.  He is the only one that would have made a house call.  The only
way they will do that is if its a nursing home.  My dad has stated rather
emphatically that he would rather die than be "put" in one ...
Good News and Bad News20 Jul 2006 19:38 GMT9
Case worker from the state agency in charge of people with disabilities called
me today. "I have good news and bad news. Good news is you have been approved
for a program where we will provide someone to watch your son for 20 hours a
month to allow you to do whatever you need or ...

A Sand Witch20 Jul 2006 12:35 GMT3
LOL ok, let me explain,  Today Ds and I borrowed my mum's S-10 and got out
of the house.  Well since we are still sort of new to the area we were going
to investigate.  My son seen train tracks and said "Momma, where's the Choo
choo train?"  I said let's look for it.  So we went ...
Some people just don't care, I guess20 Jul 2006 10:31 GMT9
Whenever it rains hard here, the cul-de-sac next to us always floods.
The storm sewers can't handle the deluge of water.
Inevitably, kids always end up running, splashing and swimming in the
nasty water.
Hard decision20 Jul 2006 02:07 GMT10
I decided to send Katherine into school today. I hope it wasn't
foolhardy with this heat. The school took what happened on Monday really
seriously - we had a conversation between me, her teacher, the
headmistress and the school secretary about what I wanted done if it

Hey Guys,
Popping in here on a rather busy day, but you guys are the only experts I
