Stimulating motor skills18 Sep 2006 21:03 GMT9
DS1 has been assessed for his gross motor skills. According to the
therapist, he's not lagging behind, but at risk for developing a delay
in balance skills. At the moment we wait and see how he develops in
school, after X-mas we'll reassess if therapy is needed.
Doctors visit.18 Sep 2006 19:20 GMT10
Went to see my doctor today re the cataracts. On the screen were my ecg
results from earlier in the summer. I'd assumed that because I hadnt
heard anything they were ok and she thought we'd arranged for me to go
and see her to discuss them. she wants me to have another ecg done ...
Why? school spellings18 Sep 2006 19:20 GMT13
Katherine was sent a list of 10 words to learn to spell yesterday. They
will be getting weekly spellings. Fine, but she could spell them all
with ease. So I had a quick word with her teacher this morning. She
smiled and said dont worry we can handle that.
So many apples and pears!18 Sep 2006 19:18 GMT4
We've had a fantastic harvest this year. So many apples and pears. We've
run out of room for storage at the moment so I've been busy chopping up
the blemished ones, turning some into apple pie, some into sauce and
getting some ready to make Perry/Cider.

ok, we've eliminated the non-RSVPing parents from future
invites, but we had around 18 kids (6 sets of sibling groups),
& the associated parents, 2 of whom are thier teachers, so the
kids listened ;)

here are a lot of therapy toys. they're pretty expensive, but
the point is to give you ideas you can adapt with things you
can find closer to home :)

Would you watch?17 Sep 2006 14:21 GMT15
BBC is running a poll on the release of the video that shows Steve Irwin's
death.  53% said they'd watch.  I was surprised.  I wouldn't but, would you?
Curious.
update on DS School17 Sep 2006 14:17 GMT5
Met with the school yesterday. They tried to brush off all my concerns,
including how ds was feeling singled out/ isolated being sent home early.
Their reaction? "Kids have to get used to disappointment".  News flash for
you people... There is a difference between disappointment ...

no where near enough time.  So, at almost diner time, we have completed:
me - cleaned house, washed most of the windows, did laundry, did next step
in making about 20 pair of earrings from pressed ...
