Does anyone have experience in finding a job after being a stay at
home mum for a few years? any advice, success or frustration?

ah, the joys of living in the lightening capital of the US.....
Tonights storm started right as I got home from work and a little while ago
the news report said there were over 2000 lightening strickes registared on
radar in the past hour in the cell that is over my area right now ...

'Nuff said. Check your email ;-). Meanwhile I was thinking the guy was
ringing to deliver the clothes that were supposed to be delivered today LOL.
So I'm walking to the door thinking it's my new bras and T-shirts ;-).
(It's amazing how long typing an email and a NG message takes ...

Katherines last week at Infant school this week. Her class has been
together for 3 years. For some reason they didnt muddle the classes each
year as they normally do. Many of the kids from her class came up from
playschool together.

Do you ever get hungry and have no idea what you want?
We have fruit, chicken, salad stuff, etc ... it's not like the kitchen is
empty.  Nothing looks good.

I had to change my weigh in day to Sunday .... I thought I had lost one
pound this week but I was wrong!
I'm down 3.6 pounds!
I started December 28th, so far I'm down 4 dress sizes.

the kitchen ceiling in the NY house is one of those textured
paint things, with points (not the spray-on stuff called
"popcorn texture"). the previous owner apparently did a lot of
frying &/or cooking of greasy foods. she also never cleaned.

but I got the kids room all cleaned up.  man does it look perty.  I even
fixed 2 dresser drawers.  Now figuring out how they messed it up after
they went to bed is another issue.  Especially since I KNOW they went
right to sleep. *rolling eyes*

No, I don't think I'll be moving for a while, but oh the progress!  Wow!
This tale all started last fall when husband declared we needed a new front
door as the existing one was leaking air/heat and there were other problems
with it too numerous to delineate now.  So, we got a new ...

Just had a phonecall - didn't get the job. Headteacher said the other
applicants have significantly more experience. She said she would be
calling on me very regularly to do the relief work.
ah well, c'est la vie.

I haven't really posted much about my weight loss because I wanted to
just do it without stressing.  Well, today I went to get new pants
because all of the bottoms I have are getting way too big.  To my
surprise, I went down 6!  Yes, 6 sizes!  I am feeling so great about

We had a series of severe thunderstorms roll through last evening, starting
just as I got home from work.  Thunder crashing all around, lightning
flashes, and hail, the later at least twice.  During the second installment
[there were at least five waves of the storms]while ...

Jeff was just laid off at work.. :(((  It might be temp.  It might be
permanent.  They will let him know :(
