i registered the farm as an official wildlife habitat with the
National Wildlife Federation. yes, it costs money (it's a
fundraiser as well as an awareness raiser), but you do have to
meet certain requirements. it's open to anyone with a bit of

Very basic.  How do *you* prepare them?  I use thin sliced cutlets - wash
and pat dry. I dip cutlets in an egg mixture (eggs, black pepper, plenty of
fresh chopped parsley and grated romano cheese) and then in bread crumbs
(seasoned, preferably fresh from local italian shop - but ...

They asked me to make them pudding tonight.  It's not something that we have
very often.  I found a box of Jello Chocolate Cook and Serve Pudding in the
back of the pantry and went for it.

My 4  year old was bitten by a mosquito yesterday.  She always experiences
quite a bit of swelling when she ends up w/ a bug bite.  The problem is, the
bite is on her eye lid :(
She looks like she has gone a few rounds w/ a prize fighter.  She can still

So, the boy has noticed what we older folks had noticed a little while ago -
the hair above his lip is darkening.  Its not particularly noticeable but he
is already worried that he will have a moustache.  See, he doesn't want one.

What a week that was. After Katherines guinea pig died on saturday the

repair shop managed to recover the data on my hard drive. Astonishingly

I was wondering if some dishwasher detergents are more corrosive than
others. We have a 6 year old automatic dishwasher whose trays are
badly corroded. The tines are breaking off into powdery rust. My
friend whose dishwasher is almost 15 year old. The trays are just
