Help needed for coach trying to deal with parents31 Jul 2005 12:03 GMT47
I coach a young girls basketball team.  All my girls are super sweet
and love to play with great attitudes, but we have lost nearly every
game for two straight seasons.  I only have two girls that can really
dribble the ball well enough to get far enough down the court in an
Teaching table manners31 Jul 2005 12:01 GMT20
Hi, I have posted here in the past, but otherwise usually lurk.  I
have a question that is not for me, but for a friend (no really :)
My DS is only 1 so I have no idea about teaching table manners to
older children.
Potty Training Problem31 Jul 2005 02:25 GMT29
I'm new posting here, although I've been posting from time to time in
misc.kids.pregnancy and misc.kids.breastfeeding.
My daughter (2y4m) is in the process of toilet training, or so we thought.
She had been doing great at home. We basically would let her run around
Getting a Variance, (when kids live in both homes)30 Jul 2005 19:27 GMT1
I'm in Canada. One fine summer day, my eldest says she wants to live at
her Dad's for the month of August. Her friends live in his area of town
and he has agreed to it. Seemed simple enough, she'd return for the
school year the first week of September.
When will they equal in height?30 Jul 2005 17:53 GMT12
I admit it's a slow day :) I just have a question out of curiosity.
my two DD's are one year and five months apart. They are both quite
tall for their age (2 yr 5 months and 3ft 1in) and (11 mo, 2ft 5in). I
was just wondering when it is that they'll almost equal in height. This

Bedtime battles and UTI update30 Jul 2005 03:03 GMT14
Geez, lots of questions about my toddler these days.
First off:  the UTI -- symptoms have disappeared, and since we've stopped
asking her if anything hurts, amazingly, nothing does.  So  I have to assume
that we must have "encouraged" her to answer yes when we asked if she was

Update (bedtime battles)30 Jul 2005 01:51 GMT1
Just thought I would let you all who were kind enough to offer suggestions,
know how things are progressing.  I've sort of taken bits of most people's
advice with Sarah.  Yesterday I ran her around for a couple of hours after
dinner, so that she was exhausted, and then tucked her ...

14 month old not walking29 Jul 2005 15:24 GMT15
I either need reassurance or advice on this subject.  I have a fourteen
month old son who doesn't want to walk . He cruises just fine on
furniture and he can walk while holding onto an adult with both hands
or pushing one of those little toys that encourage walking.  He is not
