I work as a children's librarian in a very multiculturally enriched area and
I regularly go out to talk to new mums with their gorgeous babies about
books, reading and libraries. It's a terrible job but someone has to do it

Hi - can anyone advise re weaning my 17 month daughter off her
pacifier? She only has it in bed at night and during nap times but I
would like to wean her off it soon, for the following reasons: she has
started waking us up a few times in the night asking for it when she

DD (2.5 yo) is regularly wearing big girl underwear and staying dry.
She's still scared of pooping in the potty but as far as peeing goes,
she's got it. In the daycare she's wearing underwear even during naps.
At night time I put a diaper on her because that's a 10 hour stretch.

The stuff is probably traded at the school playground. However some of
the items missing are of no value; they date back to my childhood
(sentimental value only, to me) so would be disposed of to punish me.
