How to handle mom (long)03 Jan 2006 16:38 GMT11
I've been seeing my mom now and then.  I think she will be there for DD's
b-day next month.  She doesn't say hi to me when we meet, even when I greet
her.  She just pushes past me to get to DD.  FWIW, I've noticed she also
doesn't greet nor attempt conversation with DH and SIL ...
Letter I intend to send to sponsor/co-sponsors of The Child Support Enforcement Act of 200503 Jan 2006 15:16 GMT49
Dear (representative's name here),
I am writing because I am concerned about the bill you support called
The Child Support Enforcement Act of 2005 (H.R. 4233).  As a custodial
parent whom has had to support my children fully at times due to
"Go Away Daddy!"03 Jan 2006 15:08 GMT6
My 2 yo DD loves her Daddy.  She cries almost everytime he leaves for
work and is always thrilled when he returns home.
That being said, she seems to have some sort of love/hate feeling
towards him.  By the end of the weekend or a long trip she almost seems
Why does everyone criticize the single parent?03 Jan 2006 13:16 GMT4
Nothing makes me more irritated than hearing someone complain about
single parents.
I happen to come from a single parent household. My mother had my twin
brother and I when she was 19 years old. My "father" decided to walk
Baby shoe pattern03 Jan 2006 13:14 GMT11
Greetings, all;
I just spent quite a bit of time trying to find a pattern to make
simple shoes for my baby/toddler. Although I did find some patterns,
they weren't quite what I wanted, so I finally ended up drafting my
Blood sugar problem in preschooler-advice please03 Jan 2006 11:47 GMT27
Hello, I have a preschooler who seems to have a bloodsugar problem.
(there is alcoholism and diabetes in the family).  He really "crashes"
if he doesn't eat quickly when he gets hungry.  If he eats much sugar
(even apple juice diluted with water, popsicles made with natural

A well working, industrial quality baby monitor?03 Jan 2006 03:43 GMT8
All baby monitors that I have tried, so far, are complete crap and are
not made to actually work well. They are just made to look cute. We
have a big house and the signal quality is bad and it does not get
through.
listening, staying on target02 Jan 2006 23:54 GMT21
I'm so tired of asking my three-year-old son the same question more than
once, or having to tell him multiple times what he needs to do. Even
putting on his socks can take five minutes of trying to get him to "stay
on target," as we say. First I have to get him to pay attention ...
Desparate,Tired: I Need Help for Nap vs. Night Sleep01 Jan 2006 23:56 GMT24
Hello, I have a 3 1/2 year old.  He doesn't go to bed until between
11pm and midnight.  He naps in the day for about 3 hours (usually
starts nap around 1pm, goes till about 4pm).  I am SO tired by the end
of the day, I'm just wiped out and feel underslept every day.  I cannot
4-year-old wetting pants01 Jan 2006 19:37 GMT7
My daughter potty trained last march (when she was 3.25), and it went
pretty well, and pretty easily. She's been night trained since May.
The last few weeks, she's been having accidents.  Just wetting her
pants slightly.  She has ALWAYS resisted our suggestions to go pee, and

I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the LORD, do all these things.
