(a long one, I know) and we sleep in seperate beds. I am trying to
patch things up but it is difficult (the reasons are complex) but I

DS1 (10yo) hates all sports except soccer.  DH, DS2 (8yo), and I love
to watch sports.  In the fall, our Sundays are spent mostly watching
football while DS1 plays with the neighbor kids or entertains himself
in another room.  He likes playing alone and does it frequently when
Scooter Advice30 Nov 2006 12:19 GMT3
Thinking of buying our daughter, four in December, a scooter.
Have looked at "Disney Princess Inline Scooter".  Appeals because it is
lightweight and could be picked up and taken just about anywhere.
Concerns are whether she will be balanced enough on two wheels - most other
Toys again: for 2-year-old30 Nov 2006 06:41 GMT45
I am trying to find a good educational toy for a 2-year-old girl.
Ideally, it would help with the numbers, letters, and shapes in a fun,
interactive way.
(Having said what I wish, though, my child has recently become very

having recently moved to the US, it seems like a good way for relatives to
buy presents is to order from a US site and have them delivered to us, but
I'm basically clueless as to the names of any good sites.

We've all heard the horror stories about people splitting up and
losing their kids in a divorce where the laws favor the mother most of
the time.
I'm in a different group. I'm part of the growing group of unmarried
Switching our kids was the best thing we ever tried29 Nov 2006 04:51 GMT9
Shorly after our first child was born, one of our relatives gave us a
book about child rearing.  We leafed through it, and noticed that it
seemed a bit harsh.  So we stuck it on the shelf, and didnt' think
about it again until we had a second child, and both were becoming very

How to train a boy to behave properly.28 Nov 2006 22:57 GMT10
Last week we went a dinner.  Everybody was quiet with good behavior
except my sixteen-month-old son.   He not only dropped his cup many
times, but also screamed loudly when he was sitting on highchair.  My
DH and I were very upset.   My DH noticed a little girl who was about

How to get my daughter back?28 Nov 2006 06:00 GMT6
About 8 months ago my daughter, then 14, joined a bad crowed and gave
us a hard time. A Saturday night she got home drunk and we got to know
she  was with that crowd. They broke a sloper and graffited a wall. We
paid for our share in the damages and got really scared, we didn't
