wanting suggestions21 Feb 2007 00:14 GMT4
In 2002 my husband and I divorced due to his abusive behavior towards
the kids and his drinking problems.  He was continually drinking and
driving and had 2 convictions.  He basically could not handle pure
pressure from people at work to go to bar after hours.  I was tired of

Where can you buy decent chalk from?19 Feb 2007 17:17 GMT3
WH Smith, Ryman, Woolies and other shops I've tried only sell hard,
brittle 'low dust' chalk which engraves, rather than writes, on
blackboards. Any idea where to buy proper chalk - the softer,
'creamier' stuff? If it was good enough for Einstein...

An indecent proposal for all women who want kids !!!19 Feb 2007 13:39 GMT3
I'm a super-alpha-man and I can offer to impregnate you for free.
I can offer perfect genes and uber-intelligence.
Then, you can claim that a man of your choice is the father (you
should prefer wealthy guys) and you'll have enough $$$ for yourself
cup training a one-year-old19 Feb 2007 01:31 GMT5
For various reasons, we did not push cup training prior to 11 months
with our 4th baby.  (With my other children we got them using the cup at
about 8 or 9 months and finished using bottles at 12 months.)  She is
really resistant to using the cup.  Any suggestions, things to try?  ...
Primary School allocation (game)18 Feb 2007 09:44 GMT3
Got the results of the PImary School allocation yesterday and I'm gutted.
I didn't get any of my 3 preferences and they have given me the Primary
School that we are in catchment for which I dislike very much.
Understanding the allocation criteria I can see why we've got 'the school ...

Why do all these people think that sleeping with parents is a good
idea.   At first I had many sleepless nights teaching him that he had
a bed of his own.   Now he relates well to this and if he wakes in the
night sometimes he comes in bed for a cuddle and when he's happy I
Top Reasons to Fly with a Baby or Child17 Feb 2007 17:54 GMT4
The wife and I flew to visit our families for a few weeks with our two
month old son, and I've got to say that I'd recommend always flying
with a baby or child. This is assuming you're a good parent/guardian
and you have a kid that doesn't generally cry too much. There are

What to expect at the 1-year pediatrician appointment?16 Feb 2007 01:09 GMT5
We have our one year pediatrician appointment soon and I was wondering
what I could expect in the way of shots at this point.  We are in MA,
USA.  Is there any variability in what shots different pediatricians
give at 12 months of age?  What is optional, and what is required?
