math facts practice is boring07 Jan 2008 22:21 GMT30
Anyone know of any fun games to play to practice math facts? We have math
blaster which is a ton of fun and very helpful. But I am looking for
addition and subtraction facts to 12 to practice on. And I HATE drills. They
make me think of a friend of mine whose father screamed at ...
Why Don't They Call Him "Dad?"07 Jan 2008 20:50 GMT25
K Fed--Have you noticed he is always referred to in the media as "Britney's
ex," (who won custody) instead of the kids' dad or father? Odd. Heh, I
wonder if the kids call him "Britney's ex," instead of "Dad."

Good parenting, to a high extent is based on common sense. At least it

For those who enjoy the IQ vs. effort debate...
There's an article in the current issue of Scientific American
Mind that suggests that effort and mind-set are of substantial
importance in determining achievement:

How to reduce the amount of toys04 Jan 2008 14:06 GMT10
I was amazed when I overheard a parent say
"I do not keep any more toys than will fit in my child's toy box."
It wasn't a situation where I could ask them how they do that.
Does anybody know how a parent could actually do that?
Question: 12 year-old runs away to live with non-custodial parent. (BC, Canada)04 Jan 2008 03:58 GMT21
My wife has sole custody of her two children (aged 12 and 9) from a previous relationship.  Their
father pays child support, largely due to his insistence in taking my wife to court twice (and
losing badly, twice), when my wife would have been happy to settle through mediation.  ...

child support review objection03 Jan 2008 05:31 GMT937
My ex-wife and I about 6 weeks ago had to go in for a child support review
hearing - as I thought she would she objected to the amount of support she
was asked to pay.
I have FULL custody of the children and she has nothing to do with them, nor

Do you have at least 2 children??01 Jan 2008 23:31 GMT20
Do you have a least two children. If so, I would like to hear some
stories about having your second child. Such things as: how did the
first one deal with having another baby around....  How far are they
apart..... What were some of the questions the first child asked.....
