Embarassing problem: Flatulance in Pregnancy06 Aug 2003 03:32 GMT6
I have an embarrassing problem - For the last few days I've been suffering
from flatulence (Not the smelly kind but the noisy kind!). My DH is getting
fed-up (and so am I!). What can I do to help alleviate the problem? What
kinds of food do I need to avoid?

Failed Pitocin Induction, Take 205 Aug 2003 23:02 GMT1
Last week I posted a message about my friend who had gone in for
induction.  She spent the night with the cervical gel, then got
pitocin starting the next day.
She went back in on this last Saturday for induction attempt number

4.5 hour bus trip at 34 weeks?05 Aug 2003 20:08 GMT5
I'm actually not that enthusiastic about it, but my mother really has her
heart set on my coming down for a visit next weekend. I'm inclined on the
one hand to indulge her--she has cancer, and her prognosis isn't good. My
sister has been with her on an extended visit (she's a school ...
symphysis pain help05 Aug 2003 16:47 GMT2
Anybody got advice for pubic symphysis pain?  I seem to have developed this
right before 31 weeks.  Ouch!  But it's not so bad just yet.  (I fear it
getting worse..)

How pregnant am I?05 Aug 2003 13:16 GMT1
I looked at a pregnancy calendar online, typed in the first day of my last
TOM (as well as I could remember it was June 15) and it says 7 weeks?
Seems like I should be having more "signs" too.  Oh well.  I guess I just
have to wait until 3:00 on the 11th!
Need Reassurance / Single Umbilical Artery05 Aug 2003 12:56 GMT3
I've done my internet research, but I'd like some reassurance, if you
all could provide it.  We had an ultasound done this morning at 24
weeks.  We'd had one done at 20 weeks, but the baby was positioned wrong
and the doc couldn't get a good look at the heart and since I'm 37, he ...

In the message Andrea said that a few things went 'wrong' and she
No signs?05 Aug 2003 06:58 GMT5
I am 38 years old and have never been pregnant. My menstrual cycle is
25 days and it is normally very regular. However, lately I am
beginning to wonder what's happening. My last period was 39 days ago.
My question is: can I be pregnant without "feeling" pregnant and
Trivial question re: Bedding recommendations05 Aug 2003 04:22 GMT3
Ok, so I am finding it IMPOSSIBLE to get a quilt for the crib in a solid
color.  Everything seems to be part of a themed bedding set or have a
pattern on it.  I have a big tapestry going up on the nursery wall and I
don't want to room getting overly busy, so I would really prefer a ...
Oh frabjous day: Gwendolyn's birth (VBA2C) (long)05 Aug 2003 01:49 GMT8
It's possible that labor started somewhere before 8pm on the 28th at 39
weeks 1 day - I began having short (shorter than 30 seconds) contractions
that got my attention enough that I began writing them down, and they were
between 4-6 minutes apart.  Between 10 and 11pm I had 14 ...
Sarah Key's huge balls (also: Kids can SQUAT motionless for hours)04 Aug 2003 22:24 GMT2
First things first...
PREGNANT WOMEN:  MDs are closing birth canals up to 30%.  It's EASY to allow
your birth canal to OPEN the "extra" up to 30%!
NOTE:  You DON'T have to squat to allow your birth canal to open maximally.
