| Possible duplex kidney at 32 week ultrasound... | 10 Sep 2003 15:18 GMT | 3 |
I haven't posted in a few months (was out of town working and didn't have much Internet access). But now I'm back and catching up on everything I missed while I was gone. Congrats to everyone who's given birth over the summer and to those who've announced pregnancies,

| Vent.... | 10 Sep 2003 13:25 GMT | 22 |
Being a husband of a pregnant wife, I have gotten a bit frustrated lately. It seems every single woman who has ever had a child feels it is their place to give my wife unsolicited advice. When its asked for its one thing, but when they just come up and tell us all the things

| membrane stripping doc and general update | 10 Sep 2003 11:26 GMT | 4 |
OI. I wrote last week about thinking my doc stripped (swept? what is the correct term?) my membranes without telling me. I finally decided it was worth a call to the practice since I did not want him showing up at my delivery! I spoke with the newish nurse midwife. I thought I

| Sleeping on the side? | 10 Sep 2003 04:44 GMT | 8 |
I am 28 weeks and now having great difficulty sleeping as I am most used to sleeping on my back. Now the doctor suggested I should sleep on either side but preferably on the left side (Blood circulation reasons). I have bought a body pillow but when I am lying on my side it feels ...

| Baltimore Birth Center | 10 Sep 2003 02:42 GMT | 2 |
I had my first appointment today, at 5w4d. It was a trial of the Baltimore Birth Center, where it looks like we will be continuing. Review: The BBC is an adapted older house near Baltimore Hebrew University. The offices and exam room(s)--I only saw one but I assume there are

For those moms who feed powder formula (non-supplemental), how many cans should I estimate on needing for the first few months? I'm trying to plan my budget. Thank you!

| Not looking like it's going to be this week..... | 09 Sep 2003 23:32 GMT | 6 |
I saw my midwife for my appt this morning. Little dude is fine and so am I. I'm 2-3/50% (didn't get into station but his head is well applied to my cervix) which isn't enough to justify inducing me this week. I'm booked for induction next Wednesday though (41w-41w5d) (I'm going to ...

| 35+ week ob/gyn appointment | 09 Sep 2003 23:14 GMT | 7 |
I had my regular ob/gyn appointment yesterday; this was my last every-4-weeks-scheduled appt, from now on, as it seems right now, I will be seeing her in 2 weeks, and from there every week until the delivery (it should be 4 appts in total, in case I don't go past my due date).

| FAO Pilates | 09 Sep 2003 22:32 GMT | 4 |
A friend of mine turned me onto Pilates (w/ Ana Caban) about 6 months ago. Considering I am not one to enjoy exercise videos I was quite surprised how well I enjoyed doing them. Unfortunately I got a little lazy in doing them since my home has been a construction zone for the past ...

| Unusually long BH contractions? | 09 Sep 2003 22:25 GMT | 4 |
I've had a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions through most of my pregnancy. They started being very noticeable at about 20 weeks and have continued since. In the past month of so, I've had about 25-30 per day while I'm awake (when I wake up during the night, I notice that I am having ...

| retin-A and stretch marks question | 09 Sep 2003 21:37 GMT | 11 |
Anybody know if it is considered safe to use Retin-A at the very end of pregnancy? I have read that it works well on stretch marks particularly when they are still red, earlier the better.

| Too much movement? | 09 Sep 2003 18:29 GMT | 5 |
My first was a boy and he was very quiet in the womb, but my second (due in December) is very active. Waking me up at night. Actually causing pain with pokes and jabs like he/she will break through!! Sometimes it seems like too much, what worries me is that sometimes it feels ...
