I miss being pregnant...29 Sep 2003 17:57 GMT7
I had a troublesome pregnancy due to my 'advanced maternal age' of 41
& spent the last several months of my pregnancy on full bedrest.  In
the end, I delivered a perfectly healthy baby boy 3 1/2 months ago.

Question about Due Date?29 Sep 2003 17:52 GMT11
If I'm due April 4th, why do some sites say 12 weeks and others say 13
weeks?  Which am I?
Geez, I'm so confused.  I SWEAR I had my last cycle between June 16 and 19.
If that's the case I'm due March 23ish.

As you said your due date is today...
Wishing you all the best,

weight loss during pregnancy29 Sep 2003 16:36 GMT8
At what point in a pregnancy do you start to worry about weight
loss? I know that the generic answer is eat to hunger and drink

Glucose intolerance test29 Sep 2003 16:10 GMT5
My wife had a glucose intolernace test a few weeks ago and the result
came back negative.
However, because the baby is looking large for dates, the doctor has
sent her for another one (the same 2 hr test).
Very unusual names: opinions?29 Sep 2003 15:34 GMT40
I'd like to canvas opinions, especially from people who have very unusual
names or have given their children very unusual names, as a way of helping
DH and me to clarify whether we want to give our child such a name...
Background: IRL, I have a very unusual name myself. That is, ...
35 weeks and TIRED!!!!!29 Sep 2003 13:06 GMT13
WILL IT NEVER END??
Actually, I am NOT ready. I still have SO much work to do around here that I
can wait another 5 weeks for the baby. On the one hand, I have all sorts of
things scheduled, but then I wake up at 7 am and by 10 am I am ready to take

I cant see what all the fuss is about, women spend 40 weeks fussing about a
couple of hours. It cant be that bad otherwise nature would have made the
stronger sex able to give birth.

I just got home from my midwife appointment, and I'm two centimeters dilated!
Yippee!  My cervix has also become much softer and shorter, though it's still
quite thick - apparently I didn't lose all of the plug last Saturday.  Anyway,
BP was 117/60 and urine was fine.  My feet and ...

Welcome and congratulations, if you're just found out!  Do you feel
pregnant yet, or is it still new and stunning?  Have you started telling
people?  Started to look around at the hospitals and birth centers near
you, taking prenatals?  Any food cravings, any morning queasiness?
