Question about sling/attachment parenting (long, sorry)05 Sep 2003 01:27 GMT15
Hi. As a first-time mom of an extremely intense high-needs baby, I am
in need of advice from some more experienced moms. I like the sound of
attachment parenting, and it makes sense to me, I just haven't been
able to apply it totally in my daily routine. DH is adamant about not

a.shole doc swept my membranes?04 Sep 2003 18:32 GMT13
OK. I had an OB appt. It happened to be with the one guy at the
practice I do not like. I had previously disliked him enough to
consider changing practices. But then I had a nice visit with him
once. This time... He did a cervix check. They always do this late (37
I'm feeling weird04 Sep 2003 10:09 GMT4
I think I've turned a corner here or something. This will probably go on
for weeks, but I definitely feel different than I did yesterday! Still
OK, but my back actually aches, just getting up from my chair seems to
cause contractions, and I feel sort of queasy and funny in every ...

Do Chinese Gender Charts work?03 Sep 2003 23:07 GMT11
Are they accurate?  I know people who swear by them, and say they are
virtually 100% accurate in predicting the gender of their baby.  I
looked at it for fun, but get confused when it has me figuring "lunar
age".  If I did it right then it would be correct for my first child.
Baby Names03 Sep 2003 21:36 GMT18
How did you pick out the name to give your baby?
Was the name picked out before you got pregnant, after you found out
you were pregnant, after you found out the baby's gender or after the
baby was born?

31 weeks and another milestone03 Sep 2003 18:23 GMT10
31 weeks. Only 6.5 more weeks at work - my cover has been appointed and we
have a start-date for her, so I can do a good handover and ease in to the
job. The boss has started talking about the group I work for going out for
an early dinner as a goodbye (I think he thinks I won't be ...
hot flashes and night sweats questions... 03 Sep 2003 15:04 GMT4
I don't know it anyone has brought this up yet.. but recently .. like in the
last few weeks I have been having really BAD hot flashes and night sweats I
have been trying to do research online but it only discusses menopause,
which I seriously doubt considering I am 26 and in my 25 ...
early ultrasound question03 Sep 2003 13:52 GMT2
I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks, 5 days, and no heartbeat was seen.  Is
it too early, or is something wrong?  The tech told me if my dates are
right, then everything is probably okay.  but I know people who have
seen a heartbeat before 6 weeks.  I am only 2 days away from 6 weeks.

37w 4d update03 Sep 2003 03:48 GMT5
I had another of my weekly appts. on Friday, and while everything is
still fine, it was slightly less boring than usual. Not much, but still..
First, like I've said, all the cultures and tests (including mono) for
my sore throat turned out to be negative, and it finally seems to ...
