GD preparation for labor06 Nov 2003 00:53 GMT10
I've got a speculative sort of question.  I have gestational diabetes
which I am controlling through diet.  At 37 weeks, I'm now starting to
get myself all mentally prepared for labor and delivery.  My hospital
allows clear liquids, most of which sound like they're fairly high in ...
What tests should I ask for?06 Nov 2003 00:43 GMT8
I've posted here a few times, I'm now ttc and I have a question for the
group.
I "miscarried" in January at 10 weeks (baby stopped growing, eventually I
had a D&C). At the time, my doctor had noted a positive RPR marker

New traditions for newborns...05 Nov 2003 23:06 GMT5
Being the proud father of a new baby (who has yet to be born), I am
wondering about what kind of new traditions I can start. I have heard
of some fun things and I would like to hear what people around here
do. I don't want my child to grow up like me, with about 5 baby

Last week, I had a stomach bug.  It lasted 2 days, and then it was

back05 Nov 2003 21:11 GMT12
So I have heard that it is okay, and that it isnt okay to sleep on your back
during late pregnancy.  This is the only way I can sleep comfortably without
waking up every 15 minutes to change position because my hip hurts and my
thigh has a burning sensation.
Midwife in Gilmore Girls05 Nov 2003 20:57 GMT6
In case anybody has seen the most recent episode of Gilmore Girls,
did it strike you as funny that they have the most horrible midwife
portrayed in that series?
For those of you who are not familiar: one of the main characters
Question about tube removal05 Nov 2003 17:10 GMT29
I've noticed (maybe just recently) that several women have had a tube
removed and a few have since gotten pregnant again.  I'm just curious as to
how hard it is to get pregnant with only one tube?  I know the ovaries are
not attached to the tubes but I assume if you don't have that ...

Going to be induced today05 Nov 2003 14:43 GMT14

Due to my gestational diabetes, I'm going to be induced this evening,
starting with prostaglandin overnight and then pitocin in the morning if
labor hasn't started yet.  Not the intervention-free experience I was
UPDATE with a question - Re: Jan 2004 Due Date...From a Newbie Husband....05 Nov 2003 10:12 GMT2
I know it has been a while since our last post, but preparing for the
arrival of our son has been keeping us busy.
The funny thing is it seems like yesterday the test came back
positive, and we could barley hold back our excitement from friends
