As I may have mentioned before I run a pet grooming shop, and I really

My baby was blue at first05 Dec 2003 19:54 GMT8
I had a baby a few weeks ago and he came out quite blue.  He cried right
away and turned a nice pink but still was scary to me.  I had a vaginal
birth and pushed for about an hour.
Is this normal or are babies supposed to pop out nice and pink.

I really just wanted to post a quick thank you note to all of you --
I'm really late finding this group (36w 2d) and have spent the last couple of weeks "cramming" to get caught up.
Reading everyone's stories has gone a long way to help me feel a little less ...

An update on my friend (the sensitive question)05 Dec 2003 18:43 GMT2
Well how funny I should ask you all if offering my friend those herbs would
be insensitive.  She just posted an update on the group we both read and
asked for them.
Apparently she's been upset enough to have gone to the Dr for help.  Her
Update on breech at 35 weeks05 Dec 2003 15:01 GMT3
Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about the baby still being
breech at 35 weeks. I had lost my connection to the Internet for quite some
time, so I couldn't respond any sooner.
I had another check by the midwife last Tuesday. She thinks the baby has
My 23 week check up05 Dec 2003 04:40 GMT24
Had my check up today.  The girl's heartbeat is nice and strong.  My BP is
120 over 70 and the doctor said I had gained too much weight.
ARGH!  Her scale says 182 lbs.  Mine says 173 lbs.  So, I'm right and she's
wrong.  Still, that IS an 18 lb gain since July 28th.  YIKES!  That's ...

conception question05 Dec 2003 00:56 GMT16
I've heard that sperm can live up to 3-4 days before the egg pops out
and is fertilized, but what's the story with sex after ovulation?  How
long does the egg stick around until it's too late to be fertilized?
Let's say, for example, you BD at 2dpo.  Too late?  What about 4dpo?
Attn: anyone with early pg spotting  who went on to have a healthy baby04 Dec 2003 22:32 GMT16
Warning - kinda gross, personal questions follow...
How long did you have spotting?  How heavy was it?  When did it occur
(weeks)?  Any specific circumstances?
I stopped completely for a few days but now every time I have a bm (no
I'm Finally Back!!!!!!!!!!04 Dec 2003 22:24 GMT11
After a month of being offline, being homeless and unbeliveably stressed for a
few weeks, and finally settling into our new home, I'm finally back online,
with a brand new computer, new name, the works.  Everyone is doing
great..........we're settling into life in the country.  The ...
U/S and ANOTHER O/B vent!04 Dec 2003 18:46 GMT4
Well, I had my first ultrasound this morning at 20 weeks, and it was a
fantastic experience!  The technician was so enthusiastic and informative
and she was having a great time showing us all around our little beanie!  We
saw the heart and kidneys and the spine and 5 toes on each ...
When can you feel the baby by hand?04 Dec 2003 17:07 GMT20
By placing your hand on your abdomen and feeling around? I keep hearing
people say doctors can tell if all is normal by feeling etc......all I can
feel on my stomach is unidentifiable. It feels like a hard, protruding
stomach.

December birthday roll call04 Dec 2003 12:41 GMT15
So who's having a birthday in December?
Btw, I'm thinking of 'retiring' from mkp soon - as much as I'd like to
keep up with all my favourite groups, I can't. If anyone wants it, my
birthday list is available (though, it may actually be better to start
