Jaundice after 3 weeks21 Dec 2003 15:31 GMT5
Hi, has anyone experienced the baby with jaundice after 3 weeks of life? My little Rachael was born 3 weeks ago and still looks jaundiced (with total bilirubin 278 and direct one 11). Our pedestrian has ruled out all severe problems that might be the cause and told us not to ...
16 week appointment21 Dec 2003 06:36 GMT11
I just got back from my 16 week appointment and everything looks great!  My
BP was 100/60 (normal for me), and I had only gained 2 pounds since last
time.  I decided to decline both the AFP and the CF tests.  I decided they
would just cause too much added stress for me.

Hello everyone!  First, I would like to say that I have lurked here off
and on for a little while, but have never posted since it, uh, wasn't
*time* yet, if you know what I mean.  ;-)  Anyway, I think that the time

Why "Internal Examination"?21 Dec 2003 00:23 GMT17
Forgive me if this post seems a little odd. I am a male & my lady friend has
recently had to have an "Internal Examination".  I really can't see the need
for this. What can be found out by some perv doctor sticking his fingers
inside her?
Vent - Why?? (re- baby names)20 Dec 2003 20:53 GMT45
Why would someone ask for *honest* opinions about a name then get offended
when people say they don't like it???  Why ask?  Lol.
Didn't happen here, it's my lovely only reply if you're going to say "OMG
meee tooo" July due date group - ugh!
Date for c-section and 36 week update20 Dec 2003 19:31 GMT18
Hello all...
Well, yesterday, I had my 36 week appointment at the hospital.  I had
to wait over 1.5 hours for them to see due to the incompetence of one
of the receptionists, and another had to page a doctor to see me.

Mom and I had made good time on our drive from Silicon Valley to
the Sierra, and had arrived at the secluded campground just on
the California side of Lake Tahoe with plenty of daylight left.
Our tent was up and our sleeping bags were rolled out, our
Implantation/stomach bug20 Dec 2003 14:39 GMT1
Does anyone know if having a stomach bug could prevent implantation or harm
embryo?  I'm thinking that because implantation stage is down to hormones it
shouldn't be affected
Thanks
heartbeat rates for boy/girl20 Dec 2003 12:37 GMT4
I had my monthly appointment today at 14w2d, and the heartbeat was around 160.
I have heard people talking about what various rates mean in terms of boy/girl,
but I guess I missed the main information.  Is the rate higher for a boy or for
a girl?

A few more questions, various things...20 Dec 2003 03:30 GMT4
I have thought of a few more questions of things to come in pregnancy that I
am wondering about.
First, people complain of having to urinate more frequently and therefore
not sleeping well- having to get up so often during the night. When does

Do babies have sleeping patterns in the womb?? I find that he only kicks at

Re does anone else feel like this?20 Dec 2003 02:52 GMT2

so grieve and then in 30 days let the kid next door get you preg.
and you will feel much better.
