My niece is here!17 Jan 2004 22:41 GMT12
Rachel Elizabeth arrived at 4:30 this morning.  She weighed 8 lbs 11, tiny
compared to her older brother (who was 9 lbs 6).
That's it for me for nieces and nephews though, my sister is done with 2 :(
So glad everything went well and I know my sister's glad that part is over
how far do you have to go on the big day?17 Jan 2004 19:17 GMT27
I have to go 20 miles away from home to have my baby... last time is was the same.
Anyone else doing the hermit thing while pregnant?17 Jan 2004 18:42 GMT6
I'm sure those who have other kids don't get to do this, I am sure if I have
another child my next pregnancy will be nothing like this one.
But, since quitting my job I feel like I live like a hermit. Most other
people I know are working just like I was, so during the days, I just ...
Whirlpool concerns17 Jan 2004 17:49 GMT4
I would like to surprise my wife with a late term pregnancy getaway
weekend.  The dinner theater/hotel I am looking at has really nice
rooms w/ whirlpools.
Is it ok for someone at 31 weeks to be in a whirlpool?  I don't want
I took the plunge!  Will see a midwife!17 Jan 2004 17:06 GMT23
Well I actually made an appointment with the local midwives' group!  I'm
very excited about it.  They sound totally willing to work with me and
to listen to me.  Yay!  :-)  I made the appointment *now* (i.e. only
half way through the first trimester) because I read somewhere ...
Did she drop?17 Jan 2004 15:18 GMT2
I'm at 34 weeks second pregnancy and I suspect that baby has dropped.. suddenly the severe syphis
pubis pain is almost gone and at the same time my bladder seems to have shrunk and I do believe I
feel a little head bouning up and down on my cervix when I walk!
How can I tell?
Normal?  Sorry TMI17 Jan 2004 13:20 GMT6
Is it normal for pregnant women to 'leak' on a regular basis?  I don't
think I've ever gone an entire day with a dry pair of panties!

Wondering when baby can be felt from outside?17 Jan 2004 04:42 GMT5
My baby is really starting to get active. I am 22 weeks and 2 days, and I
would say today is the first time I felt anything more than a flutter or
something that felt like she is rolling over. She kicked me today!
I still can't feel anything at all outside my stomach though even ...
post pregnancy considering coil (IUD) - any experiences?17 Jan 2004 04:38 GMT2
My baby is 11 weeks old now and I'd like to wait a few years before I
have another, so I thought I'd get a coil, and UID not a Mirena
Has anyone had one? Are they OK? Do they affect your ability to
conceive again?
Expressing breast milk17 Jan 2004 03:28 GMT15
I failed dismally breast feeding my first two babies.  On both occassions I
gave it my best shot, but found it too painful to continue past the first
couple of days.
I'm wondering has anyone tried expressing their milk and completely feeding
20 week checkup17 Jan 2004 01:15 GMT2
Well, it was a pretty uneventful appointment, but I thought I post an update
anyway.  I finally got to see my normal OB.  She had been on maternity leave
until the first of the year, so I had been seeing other doctor's in the
group until she came back.  My blood pressure was 90/60 ...
Gripe water :)17 Jan 2004 00:09 GMT9
It sees many of the people here in the US have no idea what gripe water
is, but it is a miracle as we know it in our home. :))
It is usually used for colics.
Anyways, if any of you are looking for gripe water, you can find it in
