Dizziness?16 Jan 2004 17:59 GMT4
I'm just wondering if dizziness in the second trimester (like 16-17 weeks)
is normal? Or if it's bad and should be checked out. Lastnight, while
sitting at my computer, I got dizzy twice and once while standing up. And
then again this morning, the same thing while sitting at my ...

Having learned a little about birth, from this board, from the birth
community, and from my own experience of birthing this past October, I
decided I should do the neighborly thing and offer some support to my across
the street friend who is my age and having her first child due in ...

Ketones in urine?16 Jan 2004 04:58 GMT5
I just saw my midwife the other day for a 14 week check-up. She did the
usual urine dipstick test for sugar. I commented that one of the squares was
bright purple, and I'd never seen that on a test during my previous
pregnancy. She said after checking, 'Oh, that's ketones but that's ...
Help- staph infections and pregnancy...16 Jan 2004 02:44 GMT5
I am kind of worried. My DH has had a breakout on the back on his neck in
his hairline and down his neck, and also, has red spots all over his back
that are not like acne...they are kind of scabby looking and not raised very
much etc. I had been on him to go to a dermatologist, he ...
x-ray during pregnancy16 Jan 2004 02:18 GMT20
My doctor has told me that at my next appointment (I will be 34 weeks)
if the baby doesn't seem to be in the right position then he wants to do
an x-ray to make sure.  For one, is this safe?  And two, can anyone tell
me why he might want to do an x-ray instead of an ultrasound?
Questioning Doctor's advice.16 Jan 2004 00:01 GMT52
My doctor recommeds that we circumcise our son when he is born, but
lately I've been researching circumcision on the internet and have
discovered some troubling information.  Here is what is troubling me
concerning circumcision, and if anyone can ease my mind on these
for those of us getting bigger bellys...;-)15 Jan 2004 21:35 GMT16

Childbirth class and Lots of Objects15 Jan 2004 20:23 GMT2
It's my 34th birthday, and we spent it at the first session of my
childbirth prep class. It's loosely Lamaze-based, with a lot of
general stuff that the teacher throws in. She's had six kids, under a
variety of different circumstances and including a set of twins, and

How to Handle A Friend (long) 15 Jan 2004 18:22 GMT32
Hello.  I have been reading on here for a couple of days, and I have to say
this is a very informative newsgroup.
I had originally came looking for a pregnancy newsgroup because I was
feeling terribly depressed about my birthing options.  (I am due January

massive shock, as even though me and partner have been together 15 yrs we

Sonogram results15 Jan 2004 00:06 GMT7
Well, folks, looks like it's a c-section after all!  The baby is transverse,
but rotating him nonwithstanding, he has a large head and he is *much*
bigger than my daughter, by nearly a pound!!!  It looks as if his head might
be slightly larger as well.  With that in consideration ...
