| Dizziness? | 16 Jan 2004 17:59 GMT | 4 |

I just saw my midwife the other day for a 14 week check-up. She did the usual urine dipstick test for sugar. I commented that one of the squares was bright purple, and I'd never seen that on a test during my previous pregnancy. She said after checking, 'Oh, that's ketones but that's ...

My doctor has told me that at my next appointment (I will be 34 weeks) if the baby doesn't seem to be in the right position then he wants to do an x-ray to make sure. For one, is this safe? And two, can anyone tell me why he might want to do an x-ray instead of an ultrasound?

It's my 34th birthday, and we spent it at the first session of my childbirth prep class. It's loosely Lamaze-based, with a lot of general stuff that the teacher throws in. She's had six kids, under a variety of different circumstances and including a set of twins, and
