HELP!  Gifts for first time mother/father?22 Jan 2004 22:34 GMT1
A friend of mine recently had his first child (boy).  But since I've never bought gifts for a first time parent and not having children of my own, I'm at a loss for a proper gift.  I was thinking about a gift certificate to a "baby" store to let them choose what they need/want ...
the tap-dancing mouse really IS the baby :-)22 Jan 2004 22:31 GMT2
I asked this group last week whether the things I was feeling in my
belly (sometimes like a tap-dancing mouse and sometimes more wriggly
and turn-y, not just once or twice but lasting for as much as a half
hr or more each time) could possibly be baby movement or were they
Is 23 weeks too early for Braxton Hicks?22 Jan 2004 21:49 GMT7
Today for the first time, I felt discomfort just below my belly button, on
each side of my abdomen, at the same time in unison. It didn't hurt too bad
but it felt crampy. It hurt to lie on my side while it was happening though.
It was crampy pain but didn't feel like a ligament like ...

There was a thread on alt.fashion regarding maternity clothing, and someone
from this board posted there, so I thought I would peek in to see what was
going on.

Need good pregnancy vibes :)22 Jan 2004 20:28 GMT12
I am three days late for AF.  I usually am very regular.  My husband
and I have been kicking around the idea of having a kid for a while,
but have not really been trying.  I started taking prenatals three
months ago just to be prepared.  This morning I stopped by the store
is this group moderated?22 Jan 2004 19:09 GMT7
I keep seeing responses to original posts that I may or may not ever get
to see.  I'm just wondering if there is still a usenet propagation
problem or if this group is possibly moderated in some weird way.

Smooth as silk OB appt.22 Jan 2004 17:40 GMT10
Well, he didn't do the internal but he wants my GP to do one next week
as well as Group B Strep.  Sigh.  Well, my GP is going to get me all
stubbly because I'm not going to do that again!  LOL!  :-D  He also
wants me to start doing weekly visits between him and my GP.
What makes your baby kick?22 Jan 2004 16:57 GMT11
I am a little over 25 weeks along (with our 1st) and I only started
*really* feeling my little guy kicking at about 20 weeks, and then
only *I* could but now my husband can definitely feel and sometimes
see it now too!
20 week ultrasound22 Jan 2004 16:34 GMT7
I had my ultrasound yesterday, and everything looked good.  The baby was
sleeping the whole time we were there and (according to the ultrasound tech)
laying on his/her back, so had we wanted to know the sex, we may have had a
pretty good chance.  But we didn't find out, so now we ...
C-Section 8 weeks ago... now I have a rash22 Jan 2004 08:59 GMT1
Hey... I know this is kind of weird... but I had a repeat c-section 8
weeks ago, and now I have developed a rash around the incision. My
doctor told me to keep it very dry (as usual) and to use Gold Bond
powder on it if it got red... well it was fine for a while but when I
