Vision changes--pg related or just me?09 Feb 2004 00:15 GMT10
For the last month or so I've been having a lot of trouble with my
contacts.  They're constantly out of focus, and my eyes have been much
drier than they normally are.  My last eye exam was last summer, so
this prescription isn't even a year old yet.  My glasses are working

If you dont wanna get into the story thats fine... I was just wondering
(after looking at some of the photos on your site the other day) when you

Once again, gestational diabetes08 Feb 2004 21:17 GMT4
I took my 1-hour test at 23w6d (this was done at my request, because my
hypoglycemia had been getting worse).  The results came back normal, although
I don't know what the actual blood-sugar number was yet.
The midwife I talked to that day (I've been cycling through all of them as

Halfway there!  How's everyone doing?  Any Valentine's Day plans?
Making the switch into "wow, I really look pregnant now" or have you
been there for a while?  Kicks and tumbles?  Dealing with the glucose
test, a possible amnio, results from the triple screen, ultrasounds?

I had my weekly appointment today, and things didn't go particularly
well again.  I'm at 32wks 3days.
It started out with my urine test, which showed keytones at the
maximum of test strip, which I don't know what that means exactly.

How are you feeling, seven-monthers?  Enjoying your beautiful belly?
Any braxton hicks?  Going out or staying in for Valentine's Day?  Aches
and pains, or are you carrying on with life as usual?  Everything lined
up for the birth, maternity leave, found a doula, taken a ...

Welcome and congratulations, if you're just found out!  Do you feel
pregnant yet, or is it still new and stunning?  Have you started telling
people?  Started to look around at the hospitals and birth centers near
you, taking prenatals?  Any food cravings, any morning queasiness?

7 pounds with a month to go?07 Feb 2004 04:33 GMT30
Please tell me these late term ultrasounds are not accurate!
Yesterday they did a scan because I had not gained any
weight in two weeks and my fundus height had not changed.
The scan estimated that my baby weighs 7 pounds 2 ounces and

Had my 35 week checkup today (our weeks got jumbled, supposed to be on the
evens, but this is how it worked out).  My total weight gain is 3 pounds and
everything else looks good.  My blood pressure was good and everything's
measuring about right.  I'm getting so excited to meet ...
