Reflections (pg loss, adopted child ment)04 Mar 2004 02:55 GMT11
All,
We're coming up on my birthday next Friday, and soon after, the 6 year
anniversary of Nathan's loss.  We decided to end the pregnancy at 24 weeks,
due to severe physical deformities.  Since losing Nathan, I've had 2
30wk checkup04 Mar 2004 02:27 GMT2
I had my 30 week checkup today and everything went pretty smoothly.  I
had gained around 4lbs in 3 weeks which I suppose is ok.  My BP was
120/? so that was fine.  From here on out I'm going to appointments
every 2 weeks alternating seeing the head nurse and the doctor every
dumb family.. baby shower rant03 Mar 2004 23:48 GMT166
Ok so we had a baby shower planned for Feb. 28th. I was to drive 4hrs

give me gas money to do this cuz they know our situation is pretty
crappy right now.
Sleep patterns in 3rd tri03 Mar 2004 23:15 GMT15
I've never had insomnia and am not claiming to now, but my sleep patterns
have been really messed up the past several weeks.  I am 29 weeks along.  I
never know what the night has in store for me.  Some nights, I sleep great
with only getting up a few times to pee.  Other nights, ...

I wanted to wait until the first trimester is over before telling
people but already people at work are guessing... this is my first
pregnancy and I thought I wouldn't be showing so soon but I guess I

feeding your baby03 Mar 2004 21:00 GMT75
I just wanted to put up a post that is *not* a
lets-bash-the-bottle-feeders post.  I do not want to participate in the
other thread because I just *hate* jumping in as the sound of the
minority (at least in that particular thread, I would be part of the
maternity dress03 Mar 2004 20:18 GMT2
i have to go out to a function this evening with some people i'm not looking
forward to seeing, and others that i can't wait to see and haven't seen in

splurge on a new dress that will not only fit me better ...
Cold remedies03 Mar 2004 15:43 GMT4
I am being a big baby, I know.
I came down with a cold on Saturday evening.  Still going strong today.  (No
fever, or at least none to speak of; so I'm pretty sure it's viral.)  I haven't
taken anything for it except some Tylenol, which hasn't done much.  My nose
What do you do with your belly cast?03 Mar 2004 04:59 GMT3
If you have made a belly cast, what have you done with it?  Where do you
keep it?  Someone once said it'd make a heck of a chip & dip bowl....

Update: laminaria (sad story continues)03 Mar 2004 03:49 GMT11
We had our first appointment with the perinatologist
today.  First we met with a social worker, who was very
kind, and had some useful information for us about
what will happen afterwards in terms of funeral homes,
what to do when fluid intake /= output with suspected preeclampsia?03 Mar 2004 03:12 GMT1
I'm about 33.5wk pregnant with my first..  everything was pretty
uneventful until yesterday when now I'm on suspicion of preeclampsia
(BP went up, gained weight in short order, protein in urine, edema in
hands...).  so I'm waiting for the lab results to confirm the
Had it with my Obs over medicarion, HAD it!!03 Mar 2004 02:57 GMT9
I am so very irritated, What makes it worse is that every single gosh-darn
time I have ever had to deal with my OBs over ANY medication it has been a
big, fat pain, a PITA. Furthermore I hate this office!!!! When you call in
to leave a message or question with the doctors or to deal ...
What book/s are you reading now?03 Mar 2004 02:07 GMT84
This may not be directly related to pregnancy but for me, it is :)
I have precious few months to read all books I can find because once I
have two kids at home, there goes the time for books. So I want to
know what everyone is reading that is NOT related to pregnancy or
37th week appointment03 Mar 2004 01:52 GMT4
Today I went to my 37th week appointment and we had the u/s to estimate the
weight of the baby. She is BIG! She is estimated at 7lb 14 oz. And I am only
in my 37th week. The Drs told me before that she was a big girl, but to hear
the estimate was funny. Even give or take 1 lb she is ...
